Our reception is in the Banquet Hall just across the way from the chapel.

Where is it??

OK absolutely the last one I swear. This is the Roman Bath & Fountain area that is between the chapel and the reception hall. you can see the entrance to the hall at the back of the photo.

Thanks albicocca
The venue is Avianto and is on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa and I am madly in love with the place! The venue came with a wedding planner who is doing absolutely everything for me, from liasing with the chef and the florist to organising place settings and menus.

Wow! All the sites are soo beautiful! It looks like outdoor weddings are quite popular with the PS crowd!

KPL: Funny how alike the two gazebos are. They must have shopped at the same gazebo store!!!

AntiguaBride: It sure is a pretty site where you are getting married. We are getting married at Sandals, but there sure are alot of choices on Antigua! Made it hard to decide!

This is the room where the reception will be held. It is very elegant, with high ceilings, and is an old renovated barn. It''s the Bedford Village Inn in Bedford, NH.

Wow! I just love all the new wedding/reception sites.

Tiffany1976: I love that inn!

I went to the website you posted and that is just a great site to get married at. You absolutely have to post pictures after your wedding!

Love that ballroom! It looks so elegant and regal. What state/city is that in?

Katrina_33: Your church is beautiful! It''s amazing the architecture that some churches have.

More pictures!!

Okay I have finally decided to post some pictures here! We are getting married just in front of my family''s summer house in the Adirondacks in upstate New York. It was built in 1848 by my great-great-great grandfather, and is up on a hill overlooking Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains in Vermont.

Pic one: We are probably going to have the ceremony right here in the clearing, with our backs to the view so everyone can see it behind us.

Oh WOW- I love everyone's sites- so beautiful! And Albi, you family's house is so cute and quaint- and what a gorgeous view! I love Vermont and Lake Champlain..

Tiffany1976- your site is amazing. How have they been to work with so far? I might put your place on the list of places to look at when FI and I start looking at venues...we are in NJ, but want to have somewhat of a destination wedding in New England someplace...we love Lovelylulu's site in Vermont...we are going to check that place out this summer, so maybe we can stop at the Bedford Inn on the way up there!!
emwink.gif
How many people will you be having, and when are you getting married?

everyone''s site is gorgeous! albi, your family''s summer house is amazing! you''re quite a lucky gal to have such a great getaway spot -- i''m going to try to put together a little collage of our sites, but it''s tricky not having photoshop on my computer...

Wow, I am really blown away at everyone''s locations - stunning & all so very unique!! This is becoming kinda like bridal gowns - there are so many I love that I wish I could get married over and over and over just to wear a different dress & be in one of these amazing venues!!

So here is our ceremony location - in 10 days!!

AmantDeChat -
Our reception venue is in Boston. We fell in love with the ballroom as soon as we saw it. Of course, it didn't hurt that walking to our meeting with the site's coordinator, hotel staff greeted us with "Hello Miss XXXXX and Mr. XXXXXXX. Congratulations on your engagement!" Then, the chef sent up complimentary appetizers for our meeting, and the hotel general manager came over to introduce himself.

The hotel scored serious bonus points with those things!

Teebee: I thought I recognized your wedding site!!! Checked out your wedding website and saw that it''s the church at Eureka Springs. Fiance and I love that town. We try to go down at least once a year and soak in the atmosphere.
face23.gif
It''s so beautiful there. It is one of the places we considered getting married at. Congrats!

Munchkin: I can see why you fell in love with it. It is gorgeous! I lived in the Boston area several years ago (in the military at Fort Deven) and I miss the beautiful fall season up there. Don''t miss the winters however!

AmantdeChat - we really love Eureka Springs as well - it''s a fairly easy drive and just perfect for a mini vacaton! I''ve been amazed at how many random people I run into (grocery store, post office, book store, etc.) that say they''ve been there to that chapel to visit or for a wedding. Almost all of our guests have been really excited to go and get away - have a massage at the spa and relax. Oh, except for our Best Man''s wife... who was bitching at me the other day about "what kind of God-forsaken pain in the a$$ location" I''ve chosen for our wedding and she hates riding in the car for "that" long...

I about came unglued on her - especially considering she got married in New Orleans... whatever.

Guys, thank you for the compliments, I love, love The Bedford Village Inn.

Dani, you should definitly look at the Bedford Village Inn, it is such an incredible spot. You won''t even believe how beautiful it it. I''ll tell you some of the best parts.

- It''s 10 minutes from the Manchester, NH Airport, and the Inn will pick you up for free if you''re staying there.
- the rooms are unbelievable, they are the size of my apartment, and have marble baths, seriously incredible
- there is a hotel about 2 miles away (it''s cheaper) and they have a free shuttle to the Bedfor Village Inn
- On Fridays and Sundays there is no rental fee, on Saturday it is only 1000 dollars
- the food was voted best in NH, it is incredible
- the place is amazing, totally top notch, but with charm

Michelle is the one that we have been dealing with, tell her that Megan and Dan sent you. I''m sure that she would be really nice either way, but she really likes us...Let me know what you think!

Hi Tiffany1976,

I did email the inn yesterday, and Michelle responded pretty quickly....she is so nice! It just looks like such a gorgeous spot- thanks for helping me find it! I probably would have never found it if it wasnt for you. Brian and I are going to go up there in a couple of weeks to look at it- we both love everything we have seen so far. If we do choose the BVI, it will be somewhat of a destination wedding for us, since we are from NJ, but we really wanted to do something smaller and more intimate anyway...

How is the pricing of everything? I vaguely remember you having problems with the contract- I guess everything worked out? How many guests will you be having?

Dani,

That is so neat, you will love it. It is even better in person than on the website. There is lots of information on www.weddingchannel.com under the community/ Massachusetts/Boston bulletin boards.

We are having around 80-90 people. Pricing is good I think. We just have to pay for food and alcohol. Michelle estimated the open bar to be about 2500 for eighty people. Chicken is about 55 per person (everything else varies++), but there is alot included in that: appetizers, salad, champagne toast, coffe/tea, and a few other things. It is 600 dollars to have your ceremony on site. The minimum on Fridays and Sundays is 9500. that includes food+tip, alcohol+tip and the 600 dollar ceremony fee. On Saturday the minimum is 17000. All in all though, very reasonable in comparison to most places, and so pretty.

If you decide to have it there I can give you tons of reccomendations for vendors. I have been doing alot of research, and am originally from the area, although I live in Boston now.

Michelle was very helpful with the contract, she added some things in for us, and sent us a thank you the other day. I like her very much, and look forward to working with her. You seriously have to tell her about this, she'll love it.

I hope you love it as much as I do! When is your wedding going to be?

Megan-

Thanks so much for the info- I really appreciate it! Pricing is not bad- but what a big difference between Fri/Sun and a Sat! Obviously Sat would be the most convienent for us and our guests, since we are all from out of town....I am going to have to go over it all...what day did you end up going with? Are you concerned about your out-of-town guests? My only worry with a Fri or a Sun is that it is not convienent for the guests that need to travel and then stay overnight....

We would probably end up with around the same number of people as you guys, probably around 80-100. Most likely, since FI is in grad school, we will do it next summer- we are thinking end of August, '07. I will definitely tell Michelle I talked to you- she is probably going to crack up!

Dani,

We are having ours on a Sunday, and then everyone can just travel back on a monday. They only have to miss one day of work anyway, so it''s not bad. The price difference was just huge because of the number of people we are having. We would have had to add on alot to meet the 17,00 dollar minimum. The pricing realyy isn''t bad though, especially when you see the place and taste the food.

Megan,

I agree with you 100%. If we end up seriously considering the BVI, we will most likely do a Sunday too- it just makes more sense...I emailed Michelle today and told her we would be coming up at the end of next month to scope out the place, and probably stay overnight there. It will be a nice romantic getaway. We are going to look at a few other possible venues for our wedding too. I am excited- I will definitely let you know how it goes! I am going to need your help if we end up having our wedding in that area- I am clueless as to what vendors to use and everything...wish me luck!

Dani,

Don''t worry about being clueless about vendors, I do alot of research, and I''m from the area, so I can help. I am also a hair colorist, so I know all of the best reccomendations for great stylists, make up artist etc. I love referring people to great vendors so it would be my pleasure to help.

Thanks so much, Megan...I''ll be in touch!
