Pinkjewel, if you would have asked me 15 minutes ago I would never have wanted a flower ring. Now, having seen your masterpiece, I can't think of anything I want MORE. Exquisite, divine, breathtaking, stunning, unbelievable. These are all words that don't even come close to describing your beauty and Mike's amazing talent. I can't wait for your hand shots!!!!

misskittycat- thank you so much for your enthusiastic response!! When I decided I'd like a flower ring I knew Mike would make something gorgeous and creative!!! It's not something I'd trust too many designers with. Mike managed to keep it organic and elegant without being too cutesy. Real(as in you can tell it's an orchid)- but not too real- it's a little edgy. Mike has such talent!!

Seema60- thank you. I agree I am a very lucky girl for many reasons and one of the main reasons is I have a wonderful husband who has bought this for me for our 11th anniversary. He didn't even know what hand forged meant before we started this process. I'm not sure which of us would get more excited as we got the progress photos along the way!!

I'm late to this thread - I saw that you'd posted photos yesterday but I couldn't see them until I got my laptop, and oh my goodness!!!!

It's been a long journey for you - even longer than for me! You must be thrilled with how it's turned out It's old-world glamour, the sort of special-occasion showstopper that every woman dreams of inheriting... ::sigh::

I really liked Dreamer's description! The lines are so smooth and flow so well, and the differences in melee size give it a natural feel, and the slits really highlight the curve and outline of each petal rather than reducing everything into an indistinguishable mass of sparkle... it's vibrant and *vital* and so alluring, and IMO the result is a subtle but unmistakable sensuality


It's interesting - I got to see some of the progress pics but I have to say that even knowing how all the individual parts look and how they're going to fit together, the finished piece is still something of a surprise. I guess that's what sets artists like Mike apart - that ability to visualize that final product and recognise exactly what needs to be done to achieve it.


I absolutely HAVE to see this in-person in Vegas!! And a very happy 11th anniversary to you and Mr. PJ

I cannot believe I am going to miss this in Vegas. It is just that the flight gets be back late as it is with the time zone change, so I would have had to stay until Monday to see it. Maybe it's for the best for you, though, because you would have been totally swamped by people the entire night on Sat!
