Pink Spinel

Hi ya''ll!!! I''m a short-time lurker here on PS. And I would like to say that this forum ROCKS (no pun intended)! I''ve learned soooo much in such a short time. I thought that my first post might be in one of the diamond specific forums, but I''m still working on that project
In the meantime, my fiancee/mom-to-be and I are expecting our first child in August (a girl)

. And I wanted to get her something in celebration of this joyous moment. Without hesitation, I contacted Richard Homer and inquired about pink gems. BTW, Richard is great to work with. His customer service is outstanding!! So, with much debate, I selected an oval pink spinel. I''m working with a local jeweler friend here on a pendant (ideas and suggestions are welcomed).

Thanks for the kind words! I''m excited to get the stone (should be here next Weds.). I have an appointment on Sat. at the jewelery store to check out some settings. I''ll take some more pics once I receive the stone and when it''s finished.
