Platinum ring setting

I am considering a platinum ring setting and found this from Stuller. https://www.stuller.com/products/140401l/4196357/?groupId=7533
However, the shank thickness is only 1.2mm and the width is 2.1mm. I'm worried about the thickness being only 1.2mm. The shoulder is much thicker so it's only at the shank that it is so thin. Is that typical? I'm worried it will bend too much or crack.

Yes, it would be too thin for me. I know you didn’t buy the stone from WF, but here is a four prong setting from them. Compare the numbers on the height and width. I thought you liked a four prong setting from Brian Gavin?
