Please help me design my new diamond ring

The diamond is +/- 7.1mm (1.31ct).
I don't want anything bezel or tension set.
I really like the dark ring in this picture

but with a 7.1mm I guess it will be too heavy.
I want the ring to showcase the stone.
Pleaaase help me designers, photoshoppers and others!

Well the 8 prongs bug me a little...

I like this one the best. I think this ring could be made for your stone without using eight prongs - I'm sure they'd be able to get it down to six or maybe four.

I'm not as crazy about the second one...

Maisie, I don't love the prongs you've posted, I think they just hide too much surface of the diamond.

I tried to find something to avoid the many little prongs. I must have gone too far in the opposite direction
