Please help me find an interesting gallery for my 8+ ct sapphire ring

Niel, there is definitely something to be said for the simple elegance of a class setting! I'm actually leaning heavily in that direction right now if I don't find something soon that really knocks my socks off.

Daisys, it's funny, many years ago when I starting going down the jewelry path I didn't know what I didn't know (yet) and never gave a gallery a second thought. Now... Katie bar the door -- I've got to (over)think about every detail, gallery included!

Peppermint, your ring is AMAZING! David's engraving to absolutely to die for, and I love how your beautiful stone is set in that ring!
@Dee*Jay I just saw this! Thank you! What a lovely compliment. David's engraving is awesome I find myself trying to keep myself from having everything engraved! Thank you again. I am sad to say my ring is for sale. I Never thought I would find a ring that was too big, I am so sad that I have. If it doesn't sell I will wear it for special occasions . I unfortunately don't have a lot of those.
Now I'm off to look at where you are at in the process of choosing a setting. I Love setting decisions! So much fun!!!

@Dee*Jay Oh my goodness! Your sapphire! It is so big and beautiful! The color, the cut, and the size!!! That took my breath away!!! I am so embarrassed but between my hubby have knee replacement surgery and me having knee surgery, I couldn't remember- I'm sure part of it is old age.

From one deep stone lover to another, I vote number 1! The more open space there is to clean the side stones and the Sapphire the happier I think you will be. Regardless of which setting you choose, you truly can't go wrong. I just think being able to keep all of the stones clean will be important to you!

I can't wait to see it when it's done!!!!
