I am still on the search for a stone, and I just put this one on hold at Whiteflash. http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-1843968.htm Can you please give me your opinions about it? I spoke to Chris at Whiteflash, who is AMAZING by the way and was very patient in answering all my questions. He said the SI1 is eyeclean from about 3-4 inches away, with 20/20 vision. This is the only stone I found this size for the price and he said it''s because of the clarity. Does anyone have a SI1 stone and you just hate the clarity? Can you see the imperfections of the stone?

I wanted it to be a priority to find the perfect stone that is in the price range of $2,500, but this week, I''ve been taking care of my sick 16 month old. And I am also 26 weeks pregnant... and working full time.. so it''s been put on the back burner... I feel like i''m running around with my head chopped off...

Anyway, any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That is a beautiful diamond, be sure to clarify with Chris as to whether it is eyeclean from all angles - if it is eyeclean to your standards it could be an excellent choice.

Thank you so much Lorelei. I called Chris again and he said that in VS2 or SI range stones, the inclusions on the diamond can be seen from the side, but in the mounting, this will not be noticeable. I don''t think I would mind seeing some inclusions from the side as long as the SI doesn''t affect the durability of the stone and the diamond is super sparkly.

You are most welcome! That sounds promising, also WF do have a good return policy in case you weren''t happy but it sounds as if you are all set and asked the right questions.

Happy New Year! Thanks so much again for your help. Would you be able to help me pick a setting? I decided to spend most of my budget on the stone, so I''m thinking of a simple solitaire setting, that is sturdy and I''d be happy with since I promised my husband that I won''t be putting any more money into this. I was thinking of the simple $250 white gold 6 prong setting from WF or the surprises diamond setting also from WF. Any opinions on those two? I couldn''t find anyone with the surprises diamond setting on PS for me to look at... and I''m worried that the simple 6 prong setting won''t be sturdy enough? I feel so confused....

Beautiful stone! I wouldn''t worry at all about the durability of a WF setting. The simple solitare settings look very elegant and can always be dressed up later with a flashy WB.

It is my pleasure to help! I haven't seen either of those settings in person, but I am sure they would be a good choice. I wouldn't have thought the durability would be a problem.

Oh thank you again and again for your help. Speaking of flashy WBs, I really like the 5 stone diamond rings from WF. I picture the .5 tcw would go well with a simple setting or the surprise diamond setting. I''m so excited.
