Home is London - shipping would involve me flying over to Houston !!

I love the shape of that pear. But for me, it is too warm in color. As mentioned, it is hard to tell since there are no other diamonds in the picture but on the hand, it is definetely tinged. That is not to say there is anything wrong with that. Not everyone likes the way icy white diamonds look. Ultimately, think about how your wife would feel about it. What kind of diamonds (shape, size, color) does she have now? This is will tell you what she is used to. If all of her diamonds were D's and E's I would pass, as this one will really show its color beside them. If she has diamonds in this range currently (near colorless) you may have a winner.

She has a mixed bag -

A pair of RB earings 1.7ct each which are H
An RB ring 1.6 ct which is def I or J (dont know as wedding present from her mum) but this is the one she wears the most.
An RB ring 1.5ct which is G
A pair of trillion earings which I have no idea what they are but look pretty dull.

Here''s the D side by side with the I. The background colors are slightly different, so it''s not a direct comparison anyway, but it gives you some idea. Not a lot though...I can see the same difference between my D and an H pear.

wow

that''s quite a collection!

it sounds like this wouldn''t be too far out of range color wise.

The stone is beautiful - very even shape and profile. I''m not 100% sold on the I color. Maybe it''s just the lightning, but it doesn''t look super white from the first picture. What is the vendor telling you about it?
