Their necks are quite flexible! Don't try this at home!

I did not take this pic. It's always a day-brightener to look at it.

I came home last night and the light was incredible. Absolutely no shadows and the roses seemed to glow!

This bud was breathtaking

And these three roses just glowed in the light.

This is what becomes of the breathtaking bud when it grows up.

Madam Bijoux,

That panda is hilarious! Everyone should start the day with his infectious smile!

Wink,

Those roses are gorgeous! So beautiful!

The last one appears to have been painted with a delicate paintbrush.

Thanks to both of you for the wonderful additions!

Looks like someone really likes bath time!

(The UFO-looking object is a solar-powered Water Wiggler. Apparently, birds are attracted to moving water, and mosquitoes can't lay eggs in moving water.)

At first I thought it was a piece of a leaf ...

Was at the parks this morning and this woman was walking towards me and I saw a white tail kind of off to her right. I figured she had a dog off leash, no it was something much cooler!

These pics were just snapped quick with my iPhone.

Not my pic but from a group I post in, massive Tiger Shark some guys I know from up north got off a beach. They brought it into the shore to remove all attached fishing gear and let it go back. Givin' a hug to old tigger!!

Eek those are some brave guys!

JoCoJenn, StephanieLynn and Jordy,

I love the new additions! Thank you for sharing these with us!

Jordy,

You may have heard the term 'Crazy Canucks', well, I think we need to call you guys the 'Fearless Aussies'!

I'm glad your buddies were considerate (brave and crazy!) enough to help out this tiger.

"Oh WOW!" my wife declared, "Look out the window."

I did and ran for my camera. The end of the rainbow was practically in my neighbors back yard. Two minutes after I snapped this picture the rainbows had disappeared.

These doves are Eurasian Doves, an invasive species. Hunters are asked to shoot them year around, so I did, with my camera.

Wink the double rainbow is amazing! I think I posted a pic earlier in this thread of a double rainbow out at sea.

RW and DF, we are a little bit special here in Australia hahaha. The big tigger was probably not much of a danger to the guy giving it the cuddle because of how shallow the water was, the guy near it's belly was in a slightly precarious position though.
Honestly those big sharks don't scare me when I have to get close to them and grab their pec fin or use cutters near their mouth to get hooks out. Getting ripped overboard while pulling the leader on a giant black marlin or having one come flying into the boat nose-first scares me more but neither has happened luckily. Close calls and plenty of injuries but nothing serious luckily.

Hmmm, guess I might, maybe, perhaps have to admit that summer is coming to an end. Or has ended. Possibly.

We get four seasons in this part of Canada, and each one brings its own unique beauty. For those of you living in areas without Autumn, I thought I'd share some of the season's colourful glory.

Hmmm, didn't share any red leaves yet. Here's another in yellow, just because.

You might be able to spot a Great Blue Heron standing on the rocks, in the bottom left corner of this photo.

I'll come back later to post a closer picture of him.

I took about 300 of him, but you'd probably prefer to see just a couple. ;))

Dad sent me one of his computers recently and there are a bunch of pics from on the water and other places that I haven't seen before, I will go through them and see what will be good for this thread.

Not sure if this is nature or wildlife, but it is an iconic landmark. I have this as my computer wallpaper, my boat looks pretty cool cruising under it!

Another one from dad's archive of footage, a pod of about 20 pilot whales 30 miles out to sea. An absolutely beautiful sight that you don't see very often.

Jordy,

Beautiful photos!

I love being near water, but I have to settle for rivers and lakes most of the time. Too far from the ocean for regular visits.

Hmmm, looks like I said I'd be back with a close-up or two of a heron. That was Oct 21. What the heck happened to November?!?!

Thanks for sharing the photos with us! :))

Thanks DF!

I wish I could link the video as the boat was driving past the pod, the screenshots I got just don't show the beauty of the pod together! Still rummaging through the archives so I may have a few more additions coming

Dewey was a special guest at a recent Ballet X performance in Philadelphia. He's a13 year old spectacled owl from the rain forest.

Been a minute since this was updated! Took a few photos of short-eared owls today, a first for me.

Not sure if I already shared these pics but just found them again as I was weeding out my many photos on my iPad and I just thought they are worthy of sharing (again if I already shared).

From this summer. Gotta love the gorgeous sunsets all year round. Beautiful skies no matter the season though each season has its individual beauty.

Adding a photo from late afternoon yesterday when we arrived back to NY. Brooklyn sky. Grittier than the beach sky but just as beautiful. IMO. Before sunset. Unfortunately I missed getting a photo of the sunset yesterday.
