Fish and a side salad. =)2

Actually, forget about the salad.

Let's just have fish! :mrgreen2:

Oh, oh! Better make this meal 'to go'! :eek2:

Moral of the story - according to the fish:
Being popular isn't always a good thing.

Sailing to Longyearbyen Spitsbergen in Norway above the Arctic Circle. The Global Seed Vault is there. Hiked on permafrost. Saw reindeer (need to find photos to post) but no polar bears.

Hi! Good to see you too DeeJay:wavey::kiss2:

This is not nature, it is my new kitten, Charlotte, but I did not find another thread.

Oh my goodness!!! I've died. This looks like a photo from a calendar or something. She doesn't even look real. What an adorable baby!

She is very real, very pretty, seems to have a nice personality but is in hiding for a second day in a row. Under the sectional. She is tiny so I have to move the sectional to get her out but I am afraid to scare her. Giving her time now... she gets out to eat, though. :)

Hope you don't mind me just linking that photograph. I tend to keep things on Flickr :kiss2:. That one was taken at the Birds of Prey charity stall at the 40th Scottish Transport Extravaganza at Glamis Castle. Enjoy.

So I now can get a pic up but can't delete the message coz it's been up too long :(2.

I got home and managed to get that pic onto computer (was on external drive...yes the excuse about Flickr is probably only 80% true...I can post pics but I need to be at home to do it :oops2:) so here we go again:

No, live in California but traveled on a 18-day cruise there up the coast of Norway into the Arctic Circle for 9 days.

I go swimming here once a week as it's only a short drive from home. The weather was nice today but the water is starting to get a little cold (25°C).

The new additions are amazing!

@Arkteia , Charlotte is adorable! Oh, my goodness, what a sweetie! She really does belong in a Calendar or on a card. Too cute!

@alupha , your photos are beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

@StephanieLynn , that's so interesting about the colours on the woolly caterpillar! I'll pay more attention to the ratio of brown to black from now on.

@mochiko42 , what a gorgeous location! Breathtaking!

I finally loaded photos from my camera onto my laptop. I haven't done that in ages. There were 1,869 to load. :eek2: So, far, I've found one worth sharing. Might be more. ;)2

This lovely female Wood Duck came right up to me.
Then, because I have this thing about zooming in on detail, I cropped the photo to show you what she looks like if you get really close.

@december-fire Wood Ducks are such a cool bird. Mrs. Wood duck looks so drab to us humans, but ducks have an extra set of cones to allow them to see UV radiation. So, they see reds, greens, yellows and blue much more vibrantly. Here's more how she would look to a male Wood Duck.

Hubba Hubba (or Quacka Quack).

@rockysalamander , wow! Thanks for interesting!

So how does the already-colourful male Wood Duck appear to other ducks?
