Early morning at the duck club this past Wednesday. The sun is breaking though a hole in the clouds behind me, lighting one decoy while the rest are still in shadow. The brush on the far side of the pond is beautiful in the light...

This guy was perched way up on the telephone pole this morning. We are close to a river so we get a lot of large bird species.

ETA: I showed my neighbor this pic and she thinks it is a Golden Eagle, they have up to a 7.7ft wingspan. It looked huge from the ground that’s for sure.

Wow! Very impressive! What a treat to see!
We see hawks around here, but I've never seen an eagle, as this is a suburban area.
