Please show me your CS pendants and necklaces

Omg @Catmom those are amazing!!!!! The prasolite and opal are especially to die for!

I can't believe how many absolutely fabulous pendants are coming out from hiding!!:clap::clap: Where are the necklaces?

@lovedogs you need to wear that incredible pendant every chance you get...your family probably think you don't like it because you don't wear it.
@peacechick I very much agree. When I'm sitting across the table from my wife, it's her pendant or necklace that my eyes are naturally drawn to. I think if you ladies want your DH or SO to be more supportive and appreciative of your jewelry habit, then wear a pendant or necklace more often that can be more easily admired.

@lovedogs took the words out of my mouth. What gorgeous pendants you have! The prasiolite and the opal look like the same setting style. Would you mind sharing with us the name of the jeweler who made those for you? ;))

Aww thanks voce! Not all of the pendants are made by my jeweler. If they were they'd be better lol. I love my current jeweler, she goes on buying trips 2-3 times a year for her gems and designs all of her own jewelry. She won't use anything less than G, VS diamonds, most are Es and Fs. Her jewelry is gorgeous. Her store is called Celine Custom Jewelers.

Lovely pieces everyone! I have many necklaces with colored stones because I’ve always loved both CS and necklaces. It’s only been in the past few years that my focus has been primarily on bracelets and rings. Of the necklaces, a considerably smaller proportion are pendants. Most of my colored stone necklaces are stones which go around the neck in a more collar like manner including beads, slices and set stones. Here are a some of the pendants I have... though I’ve posted these before. the gold filigree flower kinda counts because it always gets worn on CS stone beads...(the blue sapphire diamond pendant now belongs to my oldest daughter.)

A 30ct amethyst and turquoise pendant/broach from the 1950s.

I’m in love with this pendant! Simply fabulous! I believe Wallace Simpson had a Cartier necklace with amethyst and turquoise. I have been and continue to be taken by the style and the colors!

@prs great thread, and lovely collection, they all have so much presence!. I'm trying to get into pendants because I've run out of fingers to bling out:D
@lovedogs wear that orchid until the cost-per-wear doesn't make you feel guilty! I justify all my splurges like that. So my wedding dress was originally $3000, that I bought $75 used off ebay, because (hopefully), you only wear that baby once. But xxk for a pendant that you will wear 200 days a, year, for 10/20 years? Gets cheaper every time you wear it!

That aqua pendant is amazing! Where did you get it?

Thanks! I got it from my local jeweler here, but it’s a one of a kind piece because the man who carved this has since died around the time I purchased it unfortunately.

@Bluegemz all your necklaces are beautiful, but I especially like the one with all the briolettes! Do you find yourself playing with it when you’re wearing it? I know I would.

Thankyou for the kind words! It jingles around a lot which is fun. I think I do run my fingers through it often lol! It’s shaggy and tactile. Reminds me of a waterfall in a forest grotto, very dripping. When one lives in a dry or drought environment, anything associated with water is especially attractive.

I thought DW had enough pendants already, but am seriously reconsidering that position after seeing this. :mrgreen2:

@Bluegemz is it a lavender jade pendant?

Lavender Jade Pendant Bluegemz (2).jpeg
There is always a place for jadeite! It fills such a different look. Yes, you guessed it. Lavender jadeite. It was the color which really attracted me, and the energy of jade, and the fact that I Love cabs and round /oval shapes! Somehow lavender, is both soothing ( as the blue in it) and energetic and vibrant, (as the red in it.) an enigmatic color with opposites. I think a jadeite pendant would be a FABULOUS addition to your wife’s collection.

That’s unfortunate :(
It’s beautiful and I love the gold finish too

@Felinee the green center stone is gorgeous, is it a tourmaline, or maybe a peridot?

The setting is unique, stylish, and beautiful. Does the center stone actually swing inside the "halo" like a pendulum? That would be awesome!!!

The center stone is a peridot, just shy of 5ct.

Funny that you mentioned it, the center stone used to swing, but after a while I realized that due to weight imbalance between the left and right side of the pendant, the stone was always tilted to one side. So I took it back to my jeweler who originally decided to let let the stone swing and had him redo the wire work. Now the stone is in a fixed position.

Here’s mine! It’s a mint garnet in white gold and I barely ever wear it because I realised too late I’m not a pendant person!1E38A60D-E107-489D-AEA2-08B8A9E7AFB3.jpeg
::) Same here.

I have a pear spinel that I never wear --

I thought, maybe I don't wear this because it's a CS and in YG. If it's a diamond, perhaps I'll wear it more often. So...I made myself a bezel OEC diamond sliding pendant that would be soooo easy to wear. Nope, still don't wear it. Sigh.

Sorry to hear he's since passed away. That piece is lovely. It totally caught my eye too. Such a dreamy blue....

Thank you. My jeweler did the bezel work, which is one of her styles, and occasionally does some intaglio work, ( carving the top of the stone) but the carved aqua came from a colleague who carved the underside of stones, so that the picture emerges from within the stone when seen face front. I think it was his art form, carving gems. I was upset too because I would have loved to buy more of his pieces, such as earrings. I ended up getting these raw aquas in the same setting style from my jeweler as a compromise. ( 2 pics of it, one in low light indoors, and one with Direct light.) I feel really lucky to have a piece from him though, and I hope some seed of spirit lives on through it.

That spinel is so fresh and beautiful! Maybe you might wear it as a ring more?

I absolutely believe that part of his spirit will live on through his pieces. You can tell he took amazing care and attention to details to it. Wear it in good health! And glad to hear you were able to snag a couple more pieces of the aqua to make the earrings. They look great together!

Tehe, I've actually been considering that :Up_to_something2: I feel like the pink blends in too much with my skin tone. I started thinking, maybe if I set it in a white metal it'd pop more... Soooo if I happen to come across a ring setting I like that would fit this pear, I may actually go ahead and reset it. In the meantime, I'm actually trying to sell it and just get it out of my jewelry box. So we'll see which happens first

We went out to dinner last night and DW wore her sapphire and diamond choker, so I took the opportunity to take a few snaps =)2

This piece has a split personality. :eek2: It started out a tennis bracelet,

but I asked the jeweler if he could make an extension chain with matching clasp, and voila! we have a choker. DW actually prefers to wear it as a choker :))

I have a few pendants, mostly simple basket settings that I rarely wear. My favorite is a citrine that used to live as a ring on my mom's finger. When she gave it to me I had it made into a pendant and for twenty years I wore it every chance I had. Lately, I don't go out as much so I started loaning it out to family. It's made the rounds, everyone cherishes it and it's currently at home with me. My niece is almost old enough enjoy it and I'm guessing the next time I see her it will go home with her. ;-)

I love all the stunning pendants in this thread.

Am not much of a ring wearer so I see myself getting more of other stuff (pendants, earrings, bracelets) rather than rings. In the meantime I’ve lots more pendants than any other type of jewellery in my cs collection. Mainly jade for now though I have another two cs in the works and a few more loose cs that I will probably set soon as pendants.

Lavender jade pendant, paraiba pendant, icy jade triple, white nephrite coin, green jadeite coin, and green Ruyi jadeite pendant that looks much better irl. The pic is a bit darker than what they look like irl.
