@peacechick I very much agree. When I'm sitting across the table from my wife, it's her pendant or necklace that my eyes are naturally drawn to. I think if you ladies want your DH or SO to be more supportive and appreciative of your jewelry habit, then wear a pendant or necklace more often that can be more easily admired.
Wow, @Catmom you have a beautiful collection!
Thank you so much lovedogs!!Omg @Catmom those are amazing!!!!! The prasolite and opal are especially to die for!

@lovedogs took the words out of my mouth. What gorgeous pendants you have! The prasiolite and the opal look like the same setting style. Would you mind sharing with us the name of the jeweler who made those for you?
I’m in love with this pendant! Simply fabulous! I believe Wallace Simpson had a Cartier necklace with amethyst and turquoise. I have been and continue to be taken by the style and the colors!
Everyone's pendants are so lovely!
@Rare gem lover I can't believe you don't wear it
@lovedogs That is such a stunning piece of jewelry and so sentimental please wear it and enjoy it!
Lovely pieces everyone! I have many necklaces with colored stones because I’ve always loved both CS and necklaces. It’s only been in the past few years that my focus has been primarily on bracelets and rings. Of the necklaces, a considerably smaller proportion are pendants. Most of my colored stone necklaces are stones which go around the neck in a more collar like manner including beads, slices and set stones. Here are a some of the pendants I have... though I’ve posted these before. the gold filigree flower kinda counts because it always gets worn on CS stone beads...(the blue sapphire diamond pendant now belongs to my oldest daughter.)
Thanks! I got it from my local jeweler here, but it’s a one of a kind piece because the man who carved this has since died around the time I purchased it unfortunately. That aqua pendant is amazing! Where did you get it?
Thankyou for the kind words! It jingles around a lot which is fun. I think I do run my fingers through it often lol! It’s shaggy and tactile. Reminds me of a waterfall in a forest grotto, very dripping. When one lives in a dry or drought environment, anything associated with water is especially attractive.@Bluegemz all your necklaces are beautiful, but I especially like the one with all the briolettes! Do you find yourself playing with it when you’re wearing it? I know I would.
There is always a place for jadeite! It fills such a different look. Yes, you guessed it. Lavender jadeite. It was the color which really attracted me, and the energy of jade, and the fact that I Love cabs and round /oval shapes! Somehow lavender, is both soothing ( as the blue in it) and energetic and vibrant, (as the red in it.) an enigmatic color with opposites. I think a jadeite pendant would be a FABULOUS addition to your wife’s collection.I thought DW had enough pendants already, but am seriously reconsidering that position after seeing this.
@Bluegemz is it a lavender jade pendant?
That’s unfortunateThanks! I got it from my local jeweler here, but it’s a one of a kind piece because the man who carved this has since died around the time I purchased it unfortunately.
@Felinee the green center stone is gorgeous, is it a tourmaline, or maybe a peridot?
The setting is unique, stylish, and beautiful. Does the center stone actually swing inside the "halo" like a pendulum? That would be awesome!!!
Same here.
Thank you for sharing the name of your jeweler!Aww thanks voce! Not all of the pendants are made by my jeweler. If they were they'd be better lol. I love my current jeweler, she goes on buying trips 2-3 times a year for her gems and designs all of her own jewelry. She won't use anything less than G, VS diamonds, most are Es and Fs. Her jewelry is gorgeous. Her store is called Celine Custom Jewelers.
Sorry to hear he's since passed away. That piece is lovely. It totally caught my eye too. Such a dreamy blue....Thanks! I got it from my local jeweler here, but it’s a one of a kind piece because the man who carved this has since died around the time I purchased it unfortunately.
Thank you. My jeweler did the bezel work, which is one of her styles, and occasionally does some intaglio work, ( carving the top of the stone) but the carved aqua came from a colleague who carved the underside of stones, so that the picture emerges from within the stone when seen face front. I think it was his art form, carving gems. I was upset too because I would have loved to buy more of his pieces, such as earrings. I ended up getting these raw aquas in the same setting style from my jeweler as a compromise. ( 2 pics of it, one in low light indoors, and one with Direct light.) I feel really lucky to have a piece from him though, and I hope some seed of spirit lives on through it.Sorry to hear he's since passed away. That piece is lovely. It totally caught my eye too. That spinel is so fresh and beautiful! Maybe you might wear it as a ring more?
I absolutely believe that part of his spirit will live on through his pieces. You can tell he took amazing care and attention to details to it. Wear it in good health! And glad to hear you were able to snag a couple more pieces of the aqua to make the earrings. They look great together!

Tehe, I've actually been considering that I feel like the pink blends in too much with my skin tone. I started thinking, maybe if I set it in a white metal it'd pop more... Soooo if I happen to come across a ring setting I like that would fit this pear, I may actually go ahead and reset it. In the meantime, I'm actually trying to sell it and just get it out of my jewelry box. So we'll see which happens firstThat spinel is so fresh and beautiful! Maybe you might wear it as a ring more?
