Please help me replace my grandmas cracked emerald!
Hi! I recently received this emerald and diamond necklace that had been my grandmothers. Unfortunately the emerald is cracked. (It was about 7.7m). My local jewelry sent it to their lapidary in Boston to see if they can maybe salvage two tiny matched side stones (2m?). Fingers crossed! I am...www.pricescope.com

Wow! That pear is a beauty!
I was wondering if those were old cuts. The ring is absolutely stunning. I love it. You should do a post on its own in SMTB or in CS forum!
So pretty - much like mine. You have excellent taste! I'm close enough to PA and will have to check out Gemological Resources!
Your new ring is STUNNING!
I love the double rows of milgrain.
Very nice pendant. I think moderate Oil is not a problem, as long as the emerald doesn't have any large open fissures in the table. Some time ago I bought an emerald with moderate oil from JR Colombian and it hasn't changed at all
4 carat old cut Columbian Emerald. Very transparent, only one very tiny surface reaching fissure on the pavilion (will be sending to AGL) - the couple small spots on the table are actually scratches not fissures. Very glowy - I believe it might have the rare Gota De Aceite affect but will know for sure after it gets certified. Irl it’s a vibrant green - more saturated than the pics show and the inclusions are less irl as well. The ring is antique Victorian with old mine cut diamonds, so it’s old! Would love any thoughts![]()
