Ok, DiamanteBlu, post those pictures!! Or have I missed it?

My pics are TERRIBLE!!! That is one of the reasons I remained a lurker for so long - I knew I would be asked for pics!!! But I will post some anyway. I took them with my cell phone. One of these years I''ll figure out what kind of digital camera to buy and I''ll just do it. Apologies for the pic quality in advance.

Specs:
6.39 carat emerald cut set in platinum with .52 carats in baguettes; 9.9x11.8x6.5; 60% table; VS1; color: top cape [K/L - faces up white, slight yellow tint from the side]. Ring size: 4.

This was a self-purchase, 9 years ago after my divorce. The ring was an estate piece, probably from the 1930''s or 1940''s.

Thanks for the compliments and the welcome! Yeah, I have to get the camera thing down. I''ve got some cool stuff worthy of posting in addition to the EC above but without good pics nobody will be able to tell what anything is!!! I''ll get there, I''ll get there . . .

LOL! DBlu..I''m still learning myself. It''s also hard to find time to get it right chasing a toddler all day.

Thanks so much for adding your ring to the thread.. I''m sure it''s gorgeous! Please feel free to post more pics as you try to capture it!

from the Fay Cullen site:

"This platinum antique Art Deco style emerald-cut diamond engagement ring weighs 4.4g and measures 2mm long, 19mm wide and 5mm deep. This spectacular prong-set 3.41ct emerald-cut diamond center stone is graded M color and SI1 clarity and measures 11.26mm x 7.05mm x 4.53mm. This extravagantly constructed engagement ring is bezel and bead-set with 0.38cts of European-cut diamonds graded F/G color and SI clarity range, flamboyantly blanketing the shoulders and floating platinum frame that surround this eminent center stone. Finely mille grained edges, a pierced openwork gallery and an easily sizeable shank complete this grandiose botanical motif memorable Art Deco engagement ring."

I''m so glad you gals love this topic too! I just had to do something about this growing fixation... esp. after I''d promised to cool it after the last ring.

I''m sure if I called or dragged my husband over to the monitor (or emailed a link) one more time..
