Hold the phone... Is this new?? This is delicious, and I can't recall it! A new project, @Catmom?
All so beautiful @Catmom. Tell me about that pendant - most stunning!!!
Thanks Queenie60! Here are some photos.....All so beautiful @Catmom. Tell me about that pendant - most stunning!!!
So pretty! Love that blue color. And what a perfect match for your ring.
Two of my very favorite rings! From one of my very favorite PSers.
Here's mine! 3.14 ct cushion (I color) in hand-forged halo setting by BE. My finger/knuckle size grew over the last few months from 3.5 to 4.25, despite no weight gain. (Weather has been cool so it's not heat puffing. Gotta love aging!)
I enjoy this ring but sometimes grow tired of the halo. I've been toying with the idea of taking it out of the halo and putting it in a milgrained bezel, with my pear side stones also in bezels (.5ct each). Or, I might just make it a simple 3-stone without bezels, in yellow gold maybe.
Aww, Missy, thanks! This ring does still take my breath away, but since I got it my aesthetic has morphed while my ring has stayed the same...KWIM?? I find myself gravitating towards the Deco and Baroque halo styles that CvB is known for -- I just love the detailed metalwork of those styles! My dream is to save up enough to work with Caysie on a design for my cushion!@KristyDarling just wanted to come back here and say I am drooling all over your ring (again haha)...this is to me one of the prettiest halos around. So delicate and feminine and graceful and just a show stopper. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Of course if you are tired of it or bored of it there is no right or wrong but I wanted to chime in again with how much I LOVE your setting (and diamond of course!).
What you're describing would be a halo in my book. "Frame" is a perfect way to describe that type of halo (which I personally love!).What constitutes a halo? Does it have to be the same design all of the way around? Do the stones have to be symmetrical?
My pear is being reset into an intricate frame design that goes all the way around, but the stones that will surround it vary in type and size. I’m not sure it would be considered a halo or what I should call it.
Kuriso, how large is your center stone? The proportions are very nice on your finger.
