Possible Meridian,Idaho get together...

I had no idea I shouldn't post hotel info, or other things deemed unsafe. It's my first GTG, so i apologize for the snafu.

The photos are on the members only GTG page that only members can access.

We are going to do it again next year in Boise, Idaho. Look at this year’s thread on member only GTG board.

July 10-12, 2020 in Boise, Idaho. This year we visited the Boise geology museum, walked around downtown Boise (which is very walkable with tons to do), visited Prestige Diamonds and played with CBIs.

Next year, some of us may spend more time in the area to do things like: float down the Boise river along Boise State campus, drive up into the foothills and perhaps even 3 hours away to pan for Idaho garnet (non gem quality but I’m such a nerd this makes me excited), go up into the mountains, etc.

Two people went white water rafting on I believe grade 2 and 3 rapids. It was their first time and they had a blast. I would have gone, but I have tears in my meniscus, boo.

Did I mention, you get to meet John Pollard of Crafted by Infinty and get you get to soak up some of his knowledge, and meet earth’s angel Wink Jones of HPD? Plus, diamonds!!! Crafted by Infinity Diamonds!!!

You do NOT need to own CBI to attend.

I want to see RwS's ring as well, D-VS1 is droolworthy. I had a D-VS2 that I traded in for my pear. There are times I miss it's icy whiteness, but still enjoy my E-VS1.

I completely agree

We also planned to attend this year’s GTG. Unfortunately unexpected expenses arose and sadly we couldn’t make it. I’m sure you all had a wonderful time :wavey:

Aww looks so much fun! I could probably next year as it’s only 5 hours drive for me, however will need to somehow squeeze in the family vacation at the same time!

Hi Whitewave! Yes, if I go next year, hubby will come too. Let's call him Dr. Doom. :saint:

Edit: I was looking for an emoji with a mushroom cloud, but instead got an angel LOL

You could totally squeeze in a family vacay at the same time. That is what @NewBling123 and @Diamond Daddy did.

He's a doctor of philosophy. Think "Dr. Strangelove." Makes for interesting conversations, though not always appropriate for the dinner table.:naughty:

Yeah, arm candy gets queasy lol, meanwhile we look at diabetic feet at the dinner table.

Ewwwww. No thank you to diabetic feet! <RwS puts her dessert back in the fridge>

Medical doctors come up with the funniest sayings though. Every time I see a motorcycle go by I remember how an old surgeon friend used to call them "donor cycles" because that's where all his organs for transplants came from!

My husband “arm “candy” can’t really deal with specific medical talk. Or discussion of procedures. Otherwise most topics are in the table.

@whitewave thank you again for arranging this GTG! Your joy at just even making it to this event was a marvel to see. It wouldn’t have been the same without you.

It was terrific to get to meet other PSers and share a love of sparkly things. Attendees brought jewelry created by multiple vendors for us to ogle—Whiteflash, AVR, opulence ovals, James Allen, Tiffany, CVB, BGD just to name a few, along with CBI. As there was no requirement to have been a current or previous customer of HPD we could share and listen to each other’s jewelry journeys. And at the end we were all new friends of Winks.

And my husband, who reluctantly attended with me, is ok with returning next year.

So if you have an opportunity to attend a formal or informal GTG, don’t pass it up. It’s a special time!

Perhaps Wink can invite Paul to join as well. I first met John and Paul at a Meet the Cutter Event in Petaluma CA.
