There''s a post at the Wedding Bells board where people are posting their shoes. It''s been fun so I thought it would fun to do it here too.

Here are mine:

oooh tachi.. I really like those.

I think I am probably just going to go for comfort.. and get something along these lines

I think they are really cute and I don''t see the point in my feet hurting.. I think I''ll even wear them for the ceremony, cuz whats the difference..

If I did get a formal pair.. I saw these at davids.. and I really liked them.

Its the one on the right (who knows why they took a picture of two different shoes). They show them in black for bridesmaids, but I tried them on in white when I went dress shopping, and I thought they were cute and somewhat comfy. They''re pretty low heel, and there is no back or strap to be digging into my feet. and they''re pretty and sparkly.

Ooooh good topic. I''ve been thinking about the shoes. I want blue shoes of some kind. Perhaps pale blue satin strappy sandals of some kind. I really want some beautiful shoes that I can wear again. Has anyone seen any like this that might be appropriate?

Tachi - LOVE those shoes!!! They are fab.

Have you tried looking at the selection of shoes on the knot? Quite a lot of these can either be dyed to order or come in colours other than white or ivory.

Do you have a particular shade of blue in mind? If you have a swatch of fabric, there seem to be a number of places who will dye your shoes or if you''re feeling brave there are instructions on how to do it yourself with dylon.

Hope this helps! I''m looking to get shoes dyed for my bridesmaids but haven''t picked the final colour just yet......

Tachi,

Of course I am in love with your shoes (we have the same taste in everything, pretty much!)... Where did you find them? Are they comfy? How high is the heel?

I''ve been married quite a while but I hope you don''t mind if I chime in. I got plain white satin pumps, medium heel and purchased a pair of crystal and sequin shoe clips to jazz it up. My sister got married a year later and I had them dyed to match my bridesmaid''s dress for her ceremony. As you can tell, I''m big into recycling!!

hi everyone!!

i thought this would be a fun topic. since everyone''s showing their dresses off, i thought it would be fun to show the shoes off. my shoes are by the company nina and are called gali. i saw the shoes in the wedding bells magazine and totally fell in love with them. the color was perfect since my dress has a cafe/beige colored detailing on the bodice. plus the dress is really simple so i thought some fancy shoes would add some elegance to it.

the heel isn''t too high... probably 1.5"... very comfy. the sling in the back gives good support and the toes/balls of the feet part are cushioned so i don''t think my feet will get too sore wearing them all day. i did have a hard time tracking them down though. everywhere i looked only had them in white or black. so i emailed nina to ask them where i could find them (i live in vancouver, canada) and they emailed me back with a list of shops. so i went to the first shop and they had them... in my size (last one they said) and at 50% off. woohoo!!

anyway keep the shoes coming!!

Tachi, i LOVE the front of that shoe... (if only it was a taller heel, I would snatch one up!!)

BESIDES Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo, does anyone know of any nice shoes designers who have high heeled shoes that are thin, strappy, sexy and TALL... my DF is quite tall, so in my littleness I need height, and I am very comfortable in good heels. If they have a leather insole and step, they actually do not hurt. That's why I am interested in getting a good pair. Plus, I am a shoe addict, so i want my wedding shoe to be super special...

Since my gown is not white, I am looking at either a cream color, a soft delicate gold, or even baby blue (for my something blue)...

Ladies, please also let us know where you found them and if you know of any super good resources for shoes. I haven''t seen many that i like thus far. Love the butterflies though.

Nicrez - a girl after my own heart! I want my shoes to be my something blue too! Actually my dress isn''t white either, more of an icy gray-blue color. It''s so pretty - and I''d like my shoes to bring out the blue. I don''t necessarily want bridal shoes, but I also don''t want to spend the $$$ for Jimmy Choos. If J.Crew or Ann Taylor made some lovely light blue satin evening shoes, I''d be so excited! May have to wait until spring...

Also, Zappos.com has tons of great shoes, including some bridal shoes :)

My shoes are my something old, and if I can''t find anything else, my something blue too! I can''t find a pic anywhere though...

They''re silver, about 1.5 inch heel, open-toe strappy sandals without a heel strap, and in the middle of the 3 toe straps (tying them together) is a blue and silver sequined butterfly. I got them for my mom''s wedding last year and they''re so cute and comfy I wanted to wear them again!

This is what I wore, when I wasn''t barefoot:

I will be wearing these Liz Claiborne white leather sandals for my spring wedding. They''re super comfortable w/ a 1.5" heel and I''ll be able to wear them throughout the summer. The best part is that I bought them on 80% off sale at DSW. Dallas Shoe Warehouse rocks!

I had a winter wedding and I''m pretty tall at almost 5''11" so they were just like this. I think mine were a slightly older version.

I LOVE Shelley George shoes. LOVE them. They are great for any formal event and you can dye them!

Are these high enough? (3 1/4 Vera Wang)

Eh. I can't post. But whatever. Christian Lacroix makes some killer wedding shoes with heels, so does Entrata, and Stew Weitzman and Fenaroli and Grazia...oh yeah, Cynthia Rowley....and Kate Spade....and Saugus Shoe....and Kenneth Cole....and and and and ....ahhhh, the list goes on. OHHH to be short with cute little feet!

Love those Ninas by the way. Nina makes a great shoe!
