... Wow. I was SO not expecting this!!! I've got a cold and I'm all cloggy and we just brought our new puppy home and OMG she's a handful and... I'm grinning like a loon
Andrey, Ella, and the other mods & owners, thank you so much for making PS such a wonderful and fun (and occasionally incredibly lucky!) place to play!!
Hmm. Diamond studded collar? But... maybe we should hold off on that until she's got the whole sitting straight thing down

I guess hoping that happens anytime soon is just wishful thinking She terrifies the cats, she bounces at them to play and they hiss and arch their backs and fluff their tails and she has NO idea she's supposed to run away! On the plus side the cats are being total cuddlebugs - far more so than usual
I *think* daddy might be a pitt? Her eyes are a bit lighter than most dogs' I think, and her siblings had very pitt-ish features.
Cutest thing ever!!!yssie said:

We don't plan to ever leave her alone with the cats unattended - it doesn't matter what type of dog she is, honestly, I'm not prepared to gamble with the cats' safety.
Ginger - vet cleared all pups going to their new homes. I'm not offended - bemused, perhaps, I'm no dog development expert. Mum and pups were mostly separated once they started on solids. I did specifically want to bring her home as soon as okay'd because of the personalities of the cats - two adjust pretty easily but the other two are generally Nervous Nellies around larger animals and for any dog nervousness = prey.
We've given her lots of chew toys - Nylabones, rawhide, stuffed Kongs, soft toys, and she'll go to town on those. She does nip feet and ankles - we're working on not reacting at all, just giving her one of her toys instead. We're also working on having her not react when she's presented with a hand - sniffing or licking is okay and gets a click and a bit of kibble, anything else and we walk away and "ignore" her for a few minutes. I like the idea of clicker training a lot - it makes it easy to associate good behaviour with positive reinforcement... She's very inconsistent right now but that's to be expected, I think. When she drags one of her toys over to play she gets lots of "good Emily!!!" and playtime, and she's picked up on that quickly enough - it's getting her to stop looking for attention in other ways that's tough part!
We'll do our best to give her a happy and safe home.
Thanks RoseBloom, innerkitten
Enerchi - I just might have to! I have to get more pics first though!!
isaku - hehe aww! It's actually 1k to five people but I'm certainly not complaining - and I have no idea!
