Ya know, DF, I was wondering the same thing! The Republicans here on PS are often mentioning how "outnumbered" they are here . . . but the poll doesn't seem to reflect that, does it?

ETA: If I could, I'd vote a bunch more times so the Republicans can continue thinking they're outnumbered! LOL!

You are probably too young to remember the term, "Silent Majority", Irishgrrrl, but I bet DF remembers it. It seems clear that Pricescope is really inhabited by a silent majority of wealthy Republican bankers . It makes sense, doesn't it? Who else would be buying diamonds? The few Democrats here just talk a lot. But we intimidate the others ;-).

Deb, you''re right! The Democrats must be much more vocal than the Republicans, and VERY intimidating! That would explain why the Republicans'' perceived minority status is not reflected in the poll numbers.

HA ... so "outnumbered" ... so "ganged up on"??? Hardly!

I just think it shows that dems are more vocal. Something I''ve noticed in my personal life as well.

It''s intimidating to us calm and rational republicans.

Not a chance, Dancing Fire. The only control this redheaded democrat responds to is the self-control kind.

Vote for the same reason I do, DF. Anytime I''ve voted for a democratic presidential candidate while living in Oklahoma - a state SO Republican it hasn''t gone for a Democratic candidate since 1968 - my vote has fallen into a dark hole. But my vote goes into the stats for the rest of our history. AND I did my civic duty.

Oh, and this ought to warm your heart, I voted for Reagan in ''84....
2.gif
And yes, I admit, YOU voting for Obama would make me VERY happy.

Bump!

On Monday, October 20, 2008, at 10:15 a.m. (Eastern), the results were:

Obama/Biden - 49% - 186 votes
McCain/Palin - 48% - 181 votes
Neither - 3% - 11 votes

Just thought I''d post this, since I know some people are having trouble seeing the results!

PS reminds me of my neighborhood, where there are Obama signs all around (15 in one yard) but in the end I bet we vote for McCain. Lots of bluster from the Obama supporters - they seem to need to shout it out. Look at me! I''m voting for Obama!

Take a gander at all the ILOVEBHO threads here, then look at the measley one or two point edge in the poll. One never would guess it.

That reminds me of something I was talking to a friend about. Everytime I see a Mcain/palin bumper sticker, its usually just one in the corner of the bumper or window. But on a car that has an Obama sticker? Ya, they usually have about 13 stuck on there. Why is that?

Interesting . . . in my area, we very RARELY see an Obama/Biden sign, but the McCain/Palin signs are everywhere. And I''ve seen several cars with McCain/Palin stickers, but I have yet to see a car with an Obama/Biden sticker.
