Hi PS'ers,

Happy New Years!

Like many of you I am a big fan of Jonathan and GOG, I definitely plan on buying my GF's rock from them. She and I are in the camp of those who prefer "a square that performs like a RB". i.e. a square H&A of some variety. My GF and I don't care for the crushed ice look of radiants and princesses. Anyway, my question is this:

Is it just me or does it seem like GOG is the ONLY place to find quality square H&A's? Jubilee's, Princess of Hearts, Square H&A, etc. are all beautiful, so why dont other retailers offer them? Or am I just not seeing them? Everywhere else I've looked seems to only have the usual mix of shapes. Does anyone else offer modified squares?

Thanks for taking time to reply

jough, I bought my Jubilee from GOG. When I took it around Dallas to look at settings, no one had ever even seen anything like it. I just think that retailers carry the most popular cuts because they can't afford to stock something that people aren't asking for. I think that Wink Jones sells Jubilees too. But GOG will definitely have a great selection of unusual cuts. I'm with you in not really caring for the crushed ice look. GOG has some nice antique cushions that have chunky facets too that are gorgeous.

Here is the POH website where you can locate other retailers: http://www.princessofhearts.com/main.html

Thanks. I guess if they were sold everywhere they wouldn''t be unusual, which I think makes them special. I''m glad GOG has such a good selection.
