Quickies: Citrines and garnets

The citrines from Barry arrived today, and I also bought a citrine from Pete Brush (aka ruffysdad).

Quick pictures until tomorrow when the sun is out.

Barry's citrines are perfect for the project for my Great Aunt. A bright crisp fall yellow.

Pete's citrine made my jaw drop. INCREDIBLE color and sooooo lively. Check out the crown

Pete also included a beautiful garnet too.

Also, I bought a pair of rhodolite cabs from ebay just to have some cabs in my collection. They're very intriguing. I can see what others mean by glowy in my cab thread.

And the last photo is the profile of Barry's citrine.

Both citrines are so lovely! I just bought something from Barry, he is a very nice person to deal with, I shall definitely buy again.

I must be unromantic or something because my first thought when I saw the citrine is a bell. Lovely high crown on the other citrine and the rhodolite cab is going to look great when set.

Very pretty stones. I've watched those buff top citrines on Barry's site for a while, and am delighted that they are going to a good home. You kind of get to know these stones and have your favorites.
