#JOTW Rainbow Gemstone Stackers by DK

Beautiful! I love the band/setting of the spessartite garnet! Did you design that band too?
Thank you! I thought it would be a good idea to pair an orange gem with an orange blossom band. I just told DK what I wanted, and he executed that band!

How fun is this! Love all the beautiful colors and textures. Endless stacking possibilities!!
Enjoy.
Endless possibilities = endless fun! Thank you so much!

Gorgeous colors!!
Thank you - I am so happy they all match in vibrancy!

Stunning!:kiss2:
Thanks much! ::)

Holy crap I absolutely LOVE these! What a stunning idea!!
Thank you!!! I had inspiration from seeing stacking rings on PS and social media and just put my own twist on it! I was the most involved with designing the snake ring since I had a particular idea in mind!

So fantastic! Thank you for sharing such cheerful pics!
Thank you! So glad the photos capture the cheeriness of the stones!

That is SO incredibly fun!
Yes they are! My own mini rainbow...thank you!

Happy Happy Birthday!
Absolutely love this!!

Wonderful stone choices and set in a way that’s so so versatile. Enjoy the heck outta these!
I’m  with envy!

Is this DKJ’s never needs plating white gold, or the nickel version without plating? Just curious!
Thanks so much!! I received the rings quite early and it took my all not to start wearing them until my bday lol. I am enjoying them very much - a different configuration every day (who am I kidding, I rearrange them every few hours )

I am not sure re: the WG - I will ask DK!

Oh my goodness, they are like beautiful gemstone candy! There's no way that anyone could not smile and be happy with them on your fingers! Enjoy!
Gemstone candy! I love that - my Skittles stackers  They definitely make me smile often...thank you!!

Fun! I love the different combinations of colors and textures! Plus, the endless stacking options!
So much fun! Thank you - I love the color/texture combos as well!

Love the colors and great stackers!
Thanks much!!

They are so fun!! I love these. Live that they are all slightly different too, in the bands the settings angles etc. just gorgeous.
Thank you!! I think the different bands and angles make it much easier to mix and match without it looking too "blocky" or solid, if that makes sense. It looks like a different ring each time I put it on, which I love!

@Eli22 what wonderful creativity and it brings such joy! They look fantastic stacked on your index finger but I have to admit, my weakness is when they are stacked horizontally... :kiss2:

Can't wait to see you play around with these some more, esp with that gorgeous spess!

& happy birthday!
Aww thank you - they are definitely a joyful set of stackers. I am so happy that the gems all work together! I have not worn them stacked horizontally much (at size 7 for stacking, they are a bit loose on my ring finger, so I'll need to get some ring sizers) but will definitely do so. Thank you also for the birthday greeting!

Lol you have a way with words that always makes me smile! Thank you! :D

If I have Neptune's seal of approval on wearing multiple rings...I am happy!

Thank you so much for your kind words!!

Thanks Avondale! I am so glad I don't have to choose - I have been wearing them all at once lol...at risk of looking like a mini-Thanos :P2

I think @Neptune illustrates the color intensity theory—that different colors go together if they are equal in intensity. I love how she chooses additions by seeing how they go with what she has. You also knocked it out of the park, matching color intensity, and they all go together seamlessly.

OMG!! I love these—the creativity, the designs—wow on changing up the textures —and obviously the final set! Congratulations!!

I think you hit the nail on the head! I couldn’t quite explain it, but I wanted to make sure all the colors “stood up” to each other in vibrancy. I initially had a very dark sapphire with DK for one of the rings and replaced it with the brighter blue. In my search for a yellow stone, I also want it to “match” the colors in saturation/brightness. Thank you so much!!

Thank you!! I am so glad they are all different but go together well! ::)

Beautiful rings, gorgeous colours, and so much versatility

Paaaaaaayoooooooooff! Look at them in the sun. Look at 'em.:lickout:
The glow does things in my brainhole and makes me happy.
It's not just the colors, but the textures.
I love stacking texture, too.

For my first custom project of 2023 and birthday present to myself, I decided to set a few of the small gemstones I’ve been collecting into stacking rings. [Warning: photo overload coming up :P2]

The gems:
0.62 ct natural light gray diamond
0.84 ct Muzo emerald (minor oil)
1.66 ct Ceylon purple sapphire (no heat/treat)
0.79 ct Madagascar blue sapphire (heat only)
0.79 ct Burmese ruby (no heat/treat)
1.14 ct Loliondo spessartite garnet (no heat/treat)

The bands:
14k unplated white gold, 2mm each. I asked for different textures for all the bands, to mix things up. The bezels were the “unifying factor.” Had a little fun with the ruby, turning it into a snake ring (inspired mostly by @ItsMainelyYou ‘s snake ring).

After I received the first set of rings, I was on the lookout for a bright yellow and/or orange gemstone to complete my rainbow. I found a “Fanta garnet” spess from DesertRose and had her send it directly to DK. So my rainbow is somewhat complete! I may need a bright yellow stone at some point

I wanted to be able to stack/mix & match/pair to my heart’s desire…and these seem to be doing the trick! Amazing work by DK, as always!

These are amazing! I love all the different textures on the bands. The spess floral band really speaks to me, but they are seriously all so cool. I’ve thought about doing stacking bands, but I had never thought about making them all a little different. What a fantastic custom project! I’m totally jealous. :kiss2::kiss2:
