Wow... They look so great even before setting!!!!!! Can you tell me how long it took to search for those lovely gems?
Utterly love that color. Would you mind sharing vendor and cost? I have been so sad Leenagems is out of the country
But I’m thinking now that I might need a couple of lighter toned rubies in here…
So I’m starting a thread for one of my most long cherished projects. I’ve been collecting these sapphires for almost a year now and am nearing the finale.
I’ve got to get to 17cms of sapphire and I’m around 13.5cms right now. I’ve got another five stones on the way from Sri Lanka in the next few weeks - a dark pink, a light blue, a bright blue and a little pad - and I think, finally, I might be almost done. Maybe one or two more (a round bright yellow would be awesome to add as I’ve got no round stones in the mix so far).
These range from a couple of hundred dollars for the smallest / lowest quality to a couple of thousand for the most expensive. They all are certified unheated.
My birthday is in January and I’m planning on getting this set as a birthday present to myself
This is the design inspiration
and maybe just a tiny bit of oregano...oh wait
Make this thing already!
I have been drooling over your bracelet-in-progress for a long time now, and also this ring I found on Etsy that's way out of my budget. I'm wondering if I can low-cost copycat it in some way. Anyway, thought you might like to see this ring!

So glad this is progressing towards completion! What do you have in terms of loose gems to use towards other little projects?
This is so bright and happy, it makes me smile really big just looking at it! Can't wait to see it set. What color/type metal will you be using?
Agree with the yellow. Perhaps the larger grey (right side) could be swapped with the larger yellow in the center to break it up. Still leaves a grouping of lighter tones, but depending on how the stone performs IRL, it could work. Have fun - it’s super exciting to see it coming to life!
