This is mommy (tom cat) and Fluffa duffa
We are msking good progress in the friendliness stakes
My darling Tibby hated Mommy but it was neither of their faults :(2
Any way ive found ( after almost 18 months of feeding Mommy and half that time with little Fluffa duffa - the key is rather than breakfast and dinner, the same amount of food but 6 times through the day
ok a little bit more food
I dont think poor old mommy has had lunch before

Mommy's coat is looking the best ive ever seen it, some days his eyes are gunky but i can't do anything about that till i can touch him
this morning at breakfast he came running right up to me before remembering at the last minute it was me
right now he's in Tibby's cardboard box at the back door
he's having cat lollies
Without dear Tibby we are going through cat lollies so slowly and Borris gets sick of the flavour
 
ya’ll, I got a macro lens for my iPhone so I could take pictures of my jewelry, but this is all I’ve used it for so far hahahahaha

This is Coconut. She always makes me laugh! She is a rescue pibble with brindle spots which is why she is called Coconut. She is the full of attitude teenage daughter I never had.

Can I ask what type of cancer she's been diagnosed with, and what treatment options you've been given? Don't feel any obligation to answer.

Thanks again for the comfort people. I really appreciate it. I am still wandering around the house in shock. It was all so quick, it really blindsided me.

@yssie The cancer was a large tumor in her belly, not involving any organs, at least not at first. It was the size of a very large egg, but I could only feel it when the vet kind of rolled the skin a certain way. There were no treatment options other than steroids. She had developed fluid in her abdomen and lungs. She was 15, so too old for surgery, they don't do well with the anesthesia at that age. She was struggling to breathe, so we decided it was time. Hubby and I held her while she went, and it was peaceful.

Take heart that she had a wonderful life with you, and she was loved.
 
One of the new pieces of furniture that arrived yesterday is a chair and a half. Right now, I have less than half to sit on butt the fur butts are comfy.

Garett has had a miraculous recovery on the metronidazole. His accidents - #2 and #1 - went from over a dozen a day to zero. He’s been eating. He’s been grooming. He’s playing. He wants treats and catnip. He’s losing hair on his ears, but we of course don’t care.

But the last two days he’s been having accidents again. He’s also been increasingly unsteady. Side effect of his chemo, his nerve pain medication, and the metronidazole - we can’t increase his intake. I’m worried. I knew this was a Hail Mary but he‘a been doing SO well the past three weeks. I just bought a 60 day supply of his prescription food. I was confident that we’d need it.

I’m going to call his specialists tomorrow. Really really really really hoping it’s just... Antibiotics for a little kitty cold or something.

I am so sorry @yssie and I am sending Garett bucketloads of healing dust and hoping so hard he makes another recovery. You are such a good fur baby momma and I am sending you gentle hugs and lots of good wishes. Please let Garett be OK. (((Hugs))).

The small fur babies and the not so small ones. The bottom photo pig was so proud of herself that day, literally the biggest, nastiest puddle in the field is where she choose to roll.
 
This is Maggie May (Avitar photo) all grown up and her 4 month old baby sister Gracie. They came from same breeder and have same mother and father. Such a joy!!!

Yesterday was the first horse show of the year at the farm I keep my horses at - with COVID only people who take lessons at the barn or keep their horses on the property could ride, no trailering in for the show.

So that kept it low key. The kids would not take no for an answer, so I showed a horse for the first time in 15 years! She has tucked her face too far behind in this photo, have to work on that, but those trees! :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

Yesterday he claimed the new chair and a half. Today the new sofa arrived and has been Savannah cat approved. Between the 4 of them, the humans will end up sitting on the floor.

They must like new furniture smell
When we got new beds Borris wasn't interested for the first week
....same with the $100 cat scratcher barrel bed
 
My new avatar pic is my current cat, the one I got after Holly Jane passed.

He's not as cuddly as Holly Jane, but he is so smart and funny. He's beautiful but not photogenic. All my pics of him make himl look like a maniac, which he kind of is. Lol. This one here of him biting on on his toys is pretty funny.
 
This morning our oldest son said:

“Mom, did you give your cat sugar this morning? He is acting like a maniac!”

He tends to be a bit dramatic but then I saw this :)
