But Dh threw it away after I took this pic because the Football falling apart! Bits of foam everywhere.

We hit the beach yesterday, just me and Lucky. Today is her LP surgery day so I wanted to make yesterday extra special. So we took a very long ride ending at the beach. She loves the beach and it was cool and breezy, so perfect for her.20230212_174322.jpg

Aw she's so sweet! Wishing Lucky all the best and I hope she has a quick recovery. <3

Lucky, I hope everything goes well with your surgery!!!

Thank you guys. She came through pretty good! no complications with the surgery itself, but I didn't get a call until 7pm! that made for one very nervewracking day! She will be home today if all goes well!

First thing she did when home is go right to her bowl...lol I made turkey so had put a little turkey stock in the bowl in case she wanted something when she came in (she did!) , she slurped that down and went to her bed for a nap. Pretty sure she's just gonna sleep the rest of today, which is good.

Model patient (of course!) but whoo I tell you, when I first saw her I wanted to cry a little! For a greyhound she's plenty furry and its soooo soft! not shedding yet either! but where they shaved her you can really see how thin she's gotten. She's tiny at 62lbs, well under her race weight, only 3lbs heavier than her sister! While the procedure wont help some things, I think it will allow her to get more exercise the way she wants to (she wants to be more active but had lots of problems doing that)

We have a long road over the next couple of weeks, but she sounds better, not struggling for air anymore, so this was very much worth it. the corn...well she's got a booty on for now (they said it was really a big corn) and hopeful it will NOT come back, though it might! I got my work cut out for me on her feet.

Finally, I can sleep!

I hate it when they don't call. I always assume the worst. So happy she made it through!

We have a puppy in the house again. My kids have been asking for a dog for so long and we finally agreed the time was right.
I recently lost my mum, it was just devastating, even though we knew her health was rapidly declining, the loss was totally heartbreaking. My days were spent rushing to the nursing home after dropping my kids off at school. I hardly had a minute to spare.
Our family is totally besotted with our little Cavoodle pup, she brings us so much joy and mum would have loved her.04A16886-9A97-461E-968A-3C3FBBEB77B3.jpeg

My old gal had to have part of her tail amputated due to a large cyst that ruptured and became infected. We just have to make it through one more week with the cone of shame.

Hope your baby feels better soon.

Thank you! She is already feeling pretty good and looks like a little black bear when she wags her tail.

We hit the beach yesterday! I did it mostly for Gigi because the energy level was something else. Lucky loves the beach and its her first time since her operation. (a lot more energy, still wanted to sit there....lol)

I managed to get a semi decent shot (I know, still blurry but the girl moves stupid fast)
The good: she got all her yaya's out and slept like a rock. it took about 10 minutes though....lol I'm just glad she didn't run into anybody.

It should be against the law to be so adorable!

Princess Gracie loves to sit in my lap at night as we are watching movies and she is a drooler. LOL that was the one advantage over dogs IMO that cats don't drool. But this one does

mine will drool if they see food they really want (don't let it be ice cream night!). thankfully they don't do that all the time!

Gracie only drools when she is deliriously happy. Which happens to coincide with sitting on my lap lucky me

Now they’re quite engaged in “cat tv”
we’ll see if it’s worth the added cable expense Lol. So far it‘s a hit but I am guessing they’ll tire of it soon
