I love you guys. thank you so much. I have a very long road ahead of me. The good is Gigi is doing really well. I thought she'd be a total wreck but we're both working hard to keep her busy and active.

Today I picked Lucky's ashes. It was hard but, I did what I would have done, and put her in the back of my car and talk to her all the way home.

Silly thing, but kind of comforting in a weird way.

October 27 has a lot of meaning in my life. My grandmother passed on that day. I had my first cancer surgery that day. My brother adjacent was laid to rest that day. And Lucky was cremated that day.

I’m so sorry for your loss of Gigi @Arcadian, and that October is such a difficult month to with a lot difficult memories. Maybe we can share our furbabies pictures in Halloween costumes (pets past and present) to cheer you up?

He is Pomeranian and tea cup poodle. Weighed 2 lbs 11 oz at his 12 week vet visit. But he's pretty sure he's a 100 lb pit (though all the pits I know think they are purse dogs!) He definitely thinks he's a tough guy, lol.

Considering Axl Rose’s size, it‘s a good thing that he comes with “ attitude” that will make other dogs pause before messing with him. Henry is the dog we didn‘t know we needed. We never intended to have a pit bull , but I found him on the day afer Halloween 2 years ago, extremely sick with Parvo. Someone just tossed him out to suffer and die. He is the sweetest, smartest ,goofiest bundle of energy and personality we have ever had..and he’s rescue #9 for us. When you hear stories about dangerous Pitties, look at the human who “trained “ the dog. I hope there is a special place in Hell for those guys( aka Scum of the Earth).

I have exciting news! As many of you know or may vaguely remember, my beagle girl Daisy passed away about 18 months ago. She was with me from 10 weeks old to almost 16 years old. I couldn’t bring myself to find a new pet back then, and I ended up buying a new home and found myself very busy with that as well as other life stuff. About 6 months ago, I started relaxing into our new surroundings and began thinking about finding a dog breed that would be happy fitting into my lifestyle. I finally settled on Cavalier King Charles spaniels as I’ve read so many good things about them here (over many years) and almost all characteristics of the breed align with what I’m able to provide as a pet owner. Last week I started researching breeders in my region and found a wonderful outfit just one state over. It just so happened that there were 4 available puppies, and the litter was born just 1 day before my Daisy’s birthday! Then I looked at her sire and dam’s history, and this puppy’s mother was born on my daughter’s birthday. (I know that’s kind of silly to be enthused about, but I really enjoy life’s little coincidences!) Anyway, here’s a pic of our soon-to-be new bundle of joy…I have a list of preferred names but I’ll have to run them by daughter first. I’m leaning heavily towards Blanche Devereaux. (Daughter will hate it, I may have to pull rank on this one, lol)
