Archie is so cute, I love long haired kitties

So our kitty (originally named Bob but we changed it to Hodor, Hodie for short) is about 18 weeks. Let me tell you, I have had a lot of cats in my 44 years but this one is one for the record books Good thing he is cute.

We are getting that storm on Saturday night into Sunday. I am hoping I’m not on the schedule to work Sunday but if so, I’m calling out. Not worth risking an accident.

It's getting to be time to say goodbye to my cat. She's so old, went blind recently, and is very thin. But by gum she's still eating up a storm and doesn't seem to be in pain, just a bit senile (litterbox issues). I love her so much and it's her last Christmas - and I'm heartbroken that the ornaments are safe from her.

Cat update: asthma (maybe), possible small stroke - I really thought Thursday morning was the end. Then Thursday afternoon she perked up, and has been eating, drinking, walking around, and purring on laps. This is a roller coaster, but we value each day with her.

I once had a neighbor who fed all the neighborhood critters. One time she lured the oldest skunk in the neighborhood into her home but then freaked out when he didn’t want to leave. I have so many stories…I could’ve written a book about those times. (I loved every minute of the animal stuff

Oh, cool! I’ve seen that brand before. I’ll keep it in mind. I got her one little cashmere sweater (it was on super sale) but it’s still too big. Not buying her anything else until she’s grown, haha

She’s so fun and mostly chill; my daughter and I just love her. But today I was trying to write and I actually made a Tiktok about feeling like Jack Nicholson in The Shining when she keeps interrupting me.

(She has a bed and allllll her toys at my feet under my desk, she’s just being a puppy.)

Oh they are a mischievous breed and lucky they are so cute to get away with what they do. But hands down such a loving sweet dog that brightens my day and alleviates anxiety. A former student had one as a therapy dog and I loved her so much. Knew I needed one!

He’s so handsome! Mine doesn’t like the blow dryer either. The first time was ok, the second time she started shaking and I couldn’t continue. Poor thing. I need to find a groomer soon, her coat is starting to come in.

Mine is definitely mischievous! She might be a little bit vengeful because early this morning she peed on my down comforter while looking me in the eye.

She has a crate which she loves and willingly goes in to sleep or just hang out. She has 3 beds next to where I tend to work or sit. She can go outside anytime she pleases. And I take her with me on almost every errand.

I think she just hates that down comforter or feels the urge to mark it. She does it when I’m napping or after I’ve taken her outside around 3 am. It’s like she hates that particular piece of bedding; she doesn’t pee anywhere else or ON anything else in the house.

I guess I have to give up my duvet and the covers that go with it. Maybe switch to polyfill (ugh, not for me.)

Thanks for reading. She will be spayed soon and starting obedience training as well. I’m sure everything will be fine.

Blanche went to the vet today for more vaccines and a checkup. She did very well. The girls in the office all wanted to hold her, and take pics for Facebook. She’s 7.5 lbs now, and as you can see, all legs and torso. She turns 4 months old on Sunday!

Cat update: getting to the end, although she's still eating a lot. I'm giving her a painkiller they prescribed - she's having difficulty walking, but it could be arthritis. At nineteen it's more likely than not.

I think I have forgotten to give her name: Diamond. So appropriate for this community. Although we call her a variety of nicknames.

Not too long ago. I diddn't know heartbreak could last this long.
