Hi all,
I live in Australia and have purchased a diamond from a vendor in NYC. They will be sending the stone to LA for me so I can have it set by VC and the diamond will be covered under the NY vendors insurance while its travelling over there.
Once it's received and signed for by Victor in LA, the insurance lapses.
I have spoken to VC and his insurance doesn't cover stones he did not source so I'll need to arrange cover for the time my diamond is in LA which will be 4-5 weeks.
Can anyone recommend 1 or 2 popular and cost effective diamond insurers? I have no idea being here in Aus.
The ring will be covered by the postal/courier company when its sent from LA to me in Australia Id imagine (?) but what about the 5 weeks it's sitting in LA. I would need to cover it incase anything happened to it during the setting process.
Have any if you been through a similar experience? Who did you use?
