A lesson learned; if you want to get the "true value" from a jeweler, bring in your "gemshopping stone", and as him how much it would cost to duplicate it so that you can make earrings.......... You would be very surprised how the "value" goes up instantly..........

As most jewelrs do,I like to hear them talk down my stuff first then ask how much to make a pair of earings to go with the ring. They back peddle pretty fast then. hahaha.

I just love spinels. I have a few stones, some red and a blue pear and a purple.Really not anything to jump up and shout about.Here is a pic of mine
( 1.93 ct spinel, 2.10ct diamonds) and don''t look at my nails.Not nearly as nice as yours...
