Reduced: Martin Flyer 18K Setting

Hi brighice,

The setting is $3200 (originally over $8k). I've asked for the verbiage in the listing to be clarified because I agree that it's a bit confusing. I could maybe go a bit lower, but not a whole lot. I'm yennyfire on DB, so maybe you could contact me there and let me know what you're thinking?

I sent an e-mail to grace as to the dimensions of my stone to see what she thinks.

Yours was: 9.42 x 8.06 x 5.57

My stone: 9.26 x 8.29 x 5.45

Pretty darn close How do you think my stone would look in it?

Thanks for commenting on the Pad.

Grace says it would fit perfectly with the help of a good bench jeweler to set it. I believe the best thing to do would be just send them my stone and let their bench man do it. It would have to be sized too. Do you know the color and clarity of the traps in the setting?

I need a few days, I have a couple of things on the way midweek for viewing so it will depend on whether I decide to keep them both.

That's awesome! The traps are G/VS1 (Grace can send you a copy of my receipt which has all the info on it). I agree that the best way to do it would be to send your Pad to Grace and let them set it. That way, they can assess the stone and the setting together to make sure it would work. I'll wait to hear from you (or Grace)!

Been watching this thread - and bright ice, that pad looks TDI for that setting of yennyfires!!! I hope it works out for both of you since that would be one SPECTACULAR PS match made in heaven (or the internet...what evah!)

I agree! I would dare say it is meant to be, after all, what are the odds of it being that good of a match in size.
