I have a channel set diamond ring. It''s an eternity setting, so the diamonds go the entire way around the band. I''ve injured my finger and I''m pretty certain I''m going to have to have the ring cut off. Can this be repaired to look like it did before? I''m a bit concerned because it seems like the nurse will have to cut through a diamond.

I''m not really sure what to do, but my finger is really swelling and this ring is going to have to go soon.

The safty of your finger first!I would get to your local jeweler as soon as possible and have a professional cut it off....then you might have a chance of saving the ring when the correct tools are used...good luck!

Ouch for hurting your finger. I hope they can save it but your finger certainly comes first.

Yes, if you are still around please take care of your safety before rings!

Apart from that, I agree with Jewelerman - try to have a jeweller cut it off for you if you have the time. My Fi used to work in hospitals, and he confirmed for me that the ppl there do not give a hoot what your stuff looks like after, they just want it off quickly (rightly so).
