Anyone up for helping with a couple of searches? I'm not in any rush, but I'm looking for an art deco line diamond bracelet, preferably with onyx or blue sapphires, hopefully with a floral motif. I'd like the pattern to go all the way around the wrist. My budget is significantly less than Lang prices.

An example from Lang of a dream bracelet.

I'm also looking for this ring.

Wow I love this for you! Can’t wait to see what you get! I never search for these types of things so I don’t think I’ll be any help but I can’t wait to follow along.

I can't help but you have impeccable taste!

We had to settle for a simple Deco line in pink sapphire/diamond a number of years ago.

Those wide ones are lovely. Oh just saw the $6K ceiling -- I'm probably no help.

@Kim N !

What length do you need? This is a great price!

I'm really liking the prices on the two you've posted, but I'm looking for something more floral. I need 6.5".

Okay, I have a bit of a dilemma. I have a limited budget. I have an opportunity to buy the ring now, but that would mean holding off on the bracelet for at least 8 months to save up more funds. Or I can let the ring go since it's not a one-of-a-kind item, and save the funds in case the perfect bracelet comes up. Thoughts?

Second question: is there a jeweler who could recreate a slightly simpler version of the Lang bracelet, or are reproductions usually a poor substitute for the real thing?

I think the cost for a recreation bracelet would be over the cost of a premade antique for example. Like assume 3.75 carats plus carefully matched (size and cut) antique diamonds. A couple carats of Hand cut sapphires. Platinum or 18k gold. Then you are dealing with a possible vision or design mismatch in the final newly made product versus what you see is what you get.

IMO, you will get more if you just wait for the perfect pre-existing vintage piece to pop up. This thread has seen three examples in a month. So, IMO I’d just wait it out. Also, my opinion, keep saving your money for the special bracelet, don’t sink it into something that will be purchasable in the future. You should IMO, wait for a rarer piece and be ready.

Thanks, LightBright, your advice makes a lot of sense. I won't try to recreate the bracelet for the exact reasons you said. And I'm leaning towards saving my money to be ready for the perfect bracelet. Even though the immediate gratification side of me is saying, The ring is available to purchase nowwww... :cheeky:

I would wait for the bracelet as well. As you said, the ring isn't a one of a kind piece and I'm also thinking (perhaps wrongly) that the ring isn't something you will wear every day, while a bracelet may be.

Thanks, Lookinagain. You're right that I would get more wear out of the bracelet. I've settled for sure on waiting for the bracelet.

Doesn’t meet all your requirements :(
But thought I’d post anyways, just for comparison purposes.

Your inspo that you’ve pictured is sublime. The stones. The metalwork. Yeah.

Thanks, Rfisher, this is gorgeous and I love the fan motifs. If I don't end up finding something more floral, I might ask them if the price is negotiable.

Yeah, it really is my dream bracelet. The cut-outs, leaf/floral motifs, onyx... everything I'm looking for and so perfectly executed. If the exact bracelet turns up again someday, I think I'd have to say screw the budget and just buy it.
