Rose/Yellow gold mix.

I'm used to seeing rose/white or yellow/white.. never fell in love with it. Always felt it was too much a contrast between the 2.

Yesterday though I stumbled upon some rose/yellow wedding bands, and I must say they compliment each other quite well! they're closer to each other compared to when paired with white. And I read in some fashion website that yellow gold can bring out the glow in the rose, though I think the yellow gold has to be a soft hue, not strong 22/24k gold.

What do you guys think? Anyone with such rings? I'm pretty tempted to try it out, but i think for such pairings, it could work, it could end up bad?

I haven't actually seen examples of this in person, but I do like the look from the photos alone. Both colors are warm and complimentary, instead of the normal warm/cold split when mixed with WG. My DH wouldn't wear this mix, but I would!

In the eighties (I think it was the 80's) mixing these golds was a very popular thing to do. A few months ago as I was cleaning out some stuff I came across a yellow and rose gold necklace and bracelet that my parents had given me as a gift in that decade. I think the yellow and rose gold look pretty together- too bad the necklace is not my style at all now because if it were a different style I would wear it for sure.

I really love the mix actually! Glad to find others out there. I never knew it was a popular thing once! I wish I could see in person the mix together.
Completely agree with going on a more muted yellow tone, I love my mom's wedding rings which are 10K Yellow gold, looks like champagne.

Neil...agreed- I LOVE rose and green gold. See the edge on this ring. It is rose and green. I have no idea how old. Someone and myself wore this old lovey to death tho! Need a new shank.

I've done quite a bit of searching, really not many designs out there with yellow + rose gold to get better idea...
