i did spend 5 min looking for Princess Marie via google with no luck but i also dont speak or read Danish
perhaps she stayed home n France ??

The Queen had an earring malfunction and had to take off the left one as soon as she stepped inside the Palace. You can see that in the live stream from the arrivals.

Today, the Queen, joined by the Crown Prince and Crown Princess, attended the second New Year's Court. The Queen wore the pearl poiree brooch and the top cluster from the Khedive earrings. Her Majesty debuted a new court dress - a Golden Jubilee present from the Craftsmen's Association.
The Crown Princess wore her larger pair of pearl drop earrings.

the Queen needs to borrow the King of Spain :lol-2:

Princess Benedikte really brings it !
HRH is similar to Princess Anne in my (fairy tale) book- if i was going to describe a princess (as opposed to the Disney version)

Princely engagement!

Prince Nicholas of Leiningen is engaged to be married to Stephanie Paukner. The Prince, who was born in Canada, is the grandson of Princess Marie-Louise of Bulgaria and her first husband Prince Karl of Leiningen. In addition to his German and Bulgarian royal lineage, the young Prince boosts British (Victoria) and Russian (Alexander II/Grand Duke Kiril) royal ancestry.

OT alert, however, I have just purchased a sparkly head band, and shall get a tiara too, so that I could wear them at the multi-district celebratory dinners of the Lions Club to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III!

I was not planning to go on my own, however, I am not going to miss this opportunity not to celebrate as it is an once in a life time event for me personally.

I shall definitely bling up for the event!

DK :appl:

I am not feeling the mix of the black pearl with the ruby parure.

im thinking that order of the elephant makes it harder to succesfully to mix and match ?

Delphine with her stepmother Queen Paola and father King Albert in 2020.

Princess Delphine of Belgium

Delphine Boël undertook a legal battle against King Albert for many years. The illegitimate daughter of Albert demanded recognition by her biological father. When that happened, princess Delphine buried the hatchet. “Albert is an exceptionally nice person”, Delpine made a surprising statement after they had first met.

ok it was click bait and its fashion jewlery but it was such a nice thing to read after all her leagle battles

I like the black Tahitian and the ruby tiara combo on CP Mary, white SSP or ruby drops would not be as good IMHO.

DK :))

Personally I believe the chandelier earrings are a bit OTT, and wearing the parure together is OTT.

However, that's my personal preference as I don't like matchy matchy when it comes to jewellery.

Hence I like CP Mary's approach, to modify the pieces to enable them to be interchangeable with different elements, e.g. with different drops for earrings such as single pearls in different colours, simpler ruby dangle etc., with or without the dangle in the brooch etc...

DK :))

This is truly one of the most glorious parures out there! I love the hairpins that were created with the alternation of the tiara. It is the epitome of Go Big or Go Home!!!!! :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2::kiss2::kiss2::kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

That is truly a great parure and perhaps the best preserved.
Can you imagine Charles III giving money to his courtiers to buy tiaras and jewels for his coronation?

Yes, Mary has done a fantastic job altering the parure to her taste and modern times while preserving its historic integrity.

The different versions of the earrings above reflect my personal liking for each, by the way.

I somehow agree that the whole parure is OTT on Mary. On Queen Ingrid, though, I can't imagine anything but the whole set. She made it her own and rocked the look!

Do we know what color that dress was, because it's understated elegance with the parure  You're right she carries it effortlessly.

for all we know he might love to do this but the gutter press would have a field day

but the vault is vast and deep, im just hoping he is exploring it with not just Cam in mind. but his younger female relatives and with a jewler in tow
