This necklace is a very well known Cartier piece designed in the 1930s and made from stones obtained from Indian pieces. This is onew of my favorite pieces by Cartier.

Love the sapphire necklace too. I like the diamond necklace with just one segment hanging off of it.

Hooker emerald brooch. This splendid 75-carat Colombian emerald, on loan from the Smithsonian, was displayed as part of the GIA’s “Celebrating Excellence in Gems and Jewelry” show, which opened in conjunction with the Symposium.
This brooch was on the cover of the Tiffany & Co. Christmas catolog 1553.

That sapphire necklace to the right in the art deco setting looks very similar to one necklace owned by Ms. Elizabeth Taylor (who else?!). Again, very droolworthy. Thanks for posting all these pictures, but I must admit, I get a bit sad looking at the pictures of Diana, especially when she was first married to Charles. I miss Diana.

I loved the Mummy movies as well, and I have the first two on DVD.

I have this book, and it''s a great huge coffetable book with tons of detailed pictures of much of her great Jewels. I really think after she passes (let''s not hope for many years to come), her jewels should be put on display at a museum like the Smithsonian. Her collection is very important.

The ruby ring that Richard Burton got her is magnificent. He scoped for the perfect ruby for years, and it''s a huge Burma pigeon blood red ruby. I think that piece is worth the entire collection of Harry Winston! Ha!
This book is one of my favorites and I am on my second copy because ive read it so much.

Today while I was searching for HM's photos I found her official portrait as Queen of Canada. She is wearing a gorgeous Sapphire & diamond demi parure - gift the late Sheikh Rashid of Dubai and the kokoshnik tiara.

And a close up of her sapphire bracelet and diamond watch

This is something I've never seen before - the Kent amethyst demi parure. It was originaly Victoria, Duchess of Kent's own (QVictoria's mother) and then probably left to the Crown by her daughter (along with other of QVictoria's jewels).

Talking about jewels left to the Crown I should post this:
1. The Oriental circlet tiara
2. A long riviera necklace (?)
3. QVictoria''s collet necklace and the matching earrings
4. The Garter
5. Queen Victoria''s bar brooch

The Kent amethysts again

And my favourite: The Queen with QVictoria''s necklace, earrings and the State diadem at the State opening of Parliament. BTW do you know smth about the bracelets HM is wearing?

I find The queen really charming here. What do you think? I love this necklace and the earrings. They look simple but magnificent. Even the tiara (that I don't like so much) looks great
