I have not. Most of my tiaras are the craft store/bridal specials, so they are not designed to be converted.

As I've started crafting my own, the thought has occured to me to try and make one convertible, but I am a looooooooong way off from even attempting something like that!!

The King and Queen of Sweden hosed a glittering State Banquet for the new King and Queen of Denmark last night.

1715073156584.png

Queen Mary wore her magnificent ruby parure in one its smaller settings. The rubies have a special connection to Sweden, having been made for the first Bernadotte Queen (Desideria), then entering the Danish collection via a Swedish-Princess-turned-Danish-Queen and lastly being a firm favourite of the Swedish-born Queen Ingrid.
1715073230827.png

Queen Silvia wore her second best- the Leuchtenberg sapphires. Just like Mary's rubies, the sapphire have a French imperial provenance and have been "friends" for nearly 200 years.

Crown Princess Victoria wore the Connaught tiara with links to King Frederik X's (and her own, too) great-grandmother, while her opal brooch comes from her ancestor Grand Duchess Louise of Baden.1715073614360.png

Princess Sofia wore her wedding tiara with the topaz prongs and a large pearl brooch from the Bernadotte collection
1715073727783.png

Last but certainly not least we have Princess Chrisitna with the 4-button tiara and pearl accessories. While being notoriously difficult to wear and not a particularly successful design, the small tiara features some of the oldest jewels in the Bernadotte colelction.

Last night there was another State Banquet, this time in Oslo where the Norwegian Royal family hosted the President of Moldova.

We only saw three tiaras (well, 2 tiaras and one aigrette) with no surprises... The Queen in her pearl uniform, the Crown Princess wore her amethyst tiara as flat on her head as possible and dear old Princess Astrid is her quirky ruby aigrette.

it is lovelly see KIng Harrold looking better also the Crown princess looking well (she isnt wearing her daisy bandau so she must have been feeling all right for the state banquet) i would like to see a close up of Princess Astrid, i love her aigrette and i wish the younger princesses of the GB and Europe would ask to get them out of their respective vaults to play
