18th dynasty...flies are 9cm solid gold..
This necklace, with three pendants in the form of flies, was given to queen Ahhotep by her two sons Kamose and Ahmose in gratitude for her supportive role during the struggle for liberation against the Hyksos.
The presence of this type of gold jewelry, which corresponds to a military decoration bestowed upon military leaders for their courage in the battle field, is unique in a queen''s collection. It is made of stylized flies formed of plaques of gold with two bulging eyes and an open work body.
a few more snakes, these cobras are within the solid gold pectoral of sithathor..another princess related to king senworset II of the 12th dynasty, a near namesake of sithathoriunet

how about cartouches as well? they were used as symbolic surrounds to royal names only. no other class of citizen was allowed to surround his or her name by a cartouche, only a royal enjoyed that privilage.
Ring of Ramesses IV
Queen Nefertari, the beloved wife of Ramses II, is depicted wearing a golden vulture''s-wing headress and worshipping a group of sacred cattle in a wall painting in her tomb in the Valley of the Queens at Thebes, Egypt. her cartouche bearing her name is beside her.
used for jewelry and protection, the ankh symbolized life eternal..notice in this painting of the king and queen akhenaten and nefertiti, that the sun gold ra holds ankhs in outstretched hands to the faces of the royals..giving them life eternal and devine right to rule

This gold watch and gold bracelet are birthday gifts from Prince Charles. In most pictures of Diana before her divorce, this is the watch she used often.
