These are some examples of Quality Afghan ruby. All of these stones have very fine silk.

What kind of lighting did you use to take the pictures? From the yellow color of the background it looks to me it could be incandecent. Regards Doug

What effect would incandescent lightening have on a stone? Would it change or enhance or down play the color? Just curious.

Incandecent lights have more red and make a red stone look better.

These ones look good from this side of the screen. I assume they are not treated. Are they on the pink side of ruby?

Rubies are really bad about turning purple in natural light or fluoruecent lighting. IMO Regards Doug
