I'm biased because this looks a lot like my ruby ring and I love it lots. Also, fun fact, but my daughter is also due in July!
Funny thing happened today. I remembered that my grandma left me a ruby ring that I was trying to sell bc it's tiny and I thought I'd never wear it.
I have it and 2 loose royal asscher diamonds that I might make into a new piece vs paying for a new loose ruby (although i adore the color of option 2)
Crappy closet lighting
They look good enough to eat! For me, the clear winner is the trilliant. She has everything.
I am the odd man out in like four. I also like the heart. But I know autumn and it’s mainly you are the big gem experts!

I like the same as the others. What is the price range and carat weights on these? For my own purposes some day!
I know, I know, you said no green, but what about a bluer leaning Kornerupine?
I'm kind of fascinated by them.
A warm diamond would be lovely as well.
What is your birthstone?
Ugh blue topaz, which I dislike.
Your alternate birthstones are tanzanite and turquoise.
Turquoise and Ruby would be stunning and it’s a combo I’ve seen in antique pieces.
I'll definitely share pricing, vendor, etc, once I decide whether to pull the trigger on the trillion or not. But most are small (under .75ct)
Love this plan!
Rubies are heavier than diamonds. My 3mm corundum are .15ct so I suspect the petals are more like 2.5mm tops.
I like the proportions on the VCA where the center is a little bigger than the petals.
