Sapphire and chrysoberyl ring

TL, I don't know how I missed this thread, but your rings are lovely. Love the colors of the stones in all your rings shown in this thread. I ESPECIALLY like your mass produced Chinese ring settings :naughty: (I will NOT say cheap ring settings, as they are INEXPENSIVE, compared to some of the 'custom' settings others try to sell us.) And I do feel that many of the settings made by the Chinese vendors I use are almost custom; I have sent several of my stones to a Chinese mounting manufacturer and they set each stone into a PERFECTLY sized basket, and were willing to make any change I wanted. They also state they will do custom work from your own concept drawings. All for a fraction of the price a 'high' end seller will do here. And I received fabulous pave, great color and clean diamonds and whatever karat of gold I wanted. Oh, and I sent stones to them that were worth considerably more than $500.

Anyway, this topic was bugging me for a few days now and I just had to get it off my chest.

I have gone back and read a lot of your past posts, and I like and respect U. So don't disappear! And even though I now know your name, I will NEVER use it. (That particular posting seemed REALLY nasty to me). Best.

Absolutely stunning TL! So beautifully balanced!

First off, its great to see the ring again. I said it before and I'll say it again - you are amazingly good at matching tone and saturation levels.

Second, I spent yesterday traveling and seem to have missed something. I wish I knew what it was. I hope it does not result in the departure of you, TL, because your kindness and respectful conduct to others under all circumstances is what first had me posting here. You - that is a fact.

Finally, I have had exactly one experience with a Chinese vendor, and unfortunately, it does not compare to my other settings. I WISH I had the ability like you do to find a good vendor and good settings! And sometimes I want something plain that really shows off the stone; this seems not to be found unless one goes custom. That said, JJ: would you please share the name of your Chinese fabricator that does such good custom work?

TIA

Hi Tia. Above is post with my latest setting from the ebay vendor I use. This was my third setting from them, and I have been happy with the quality of each of them. I am also lucky to have a GG in a jewelry mart not too far from my home, who also does wax, and has an extensive bench with techs in a rear portion of the premises. But, since I buy SO MANY stones and rings, I have to watch what I spend.

Ummm....JJ, TIA is "thanks in advance". Minous is well, Minous.

Thanks Chrono. And for others who are wondering, JJ's Chinese vendor is Diamondmounts. This way, you don't have to go through the threads to find the name.

I can not believe I missed the initial post. It was a while ago. A beautiful ring, and a wonderful color combination.

Lol, thanks Chrono...newby at posting

Nice color combo.
