sapphire e-ring done!

yes...we are a little worried about how it was set. One prong has a rough spot and one is just barely not touching the stone on the top. Also the prongs look a little longer than ideal.

The guy kept setting the stone crooked so flyfisher decided to take the ring and cut his losses..have someone competant do it instead. I''m not sure, we''ll see what Atlas says. speaking of which, I have to call him soon!

Bravesgirl: I dont know what company makes the setting; we bought it at a BnM. I would have to not recommend it though, unless you can get it die struck or handmade because the cast setting is very fragile and I worry about it. We could not afford handmade plat so FI went with this setting. I love it but plan to have it re-made by hand in ...oh...15 years or so?

I just LOVE the color in that stone, it almost glows. What color did the dealer say it is? I''ve been looking at Sapphires but two stones that are described as "vivid blue" look so so different from each other.

GREAT job finding such a lovely stone.
