Geez, it may take me forever to decide what I''m going to do with this! I really thought I was going to halo it but I''m also thinking maybe it should stand on its own, too.

sigh. Thanks everyone for your nice comments.

Marcy, I''m happy that you wore your aquas! Too bad you didn''t get that other aqua. I''ve done that before and just hate it when years later you are kicking yourself for not purchasing something.

I have to share what my husband said yesterday. He''s been overseas so I emailed him some of the pics of the stone. He wrote back in all seriousness , "it sparkles an awful lot for an aquamarine doesn''t it?" I said back, "umm yeah, that''s why I bought it!"

I''m such a sucker for aquamarines in old vintage art deco or edwardian settings.

that color is amazing, put it in a halo a la Firegoddess, it will be A STUNNER.

I love the stone. Congrats!! I''m voting for a ring, east-west style maybe, no halo. Maybe something like this?

Oooooh, asscher_girl, a bezel-set pendant was EXACTLY what I was thinking! Love those Tiffany necklaces!

Oooooooo, great ideas everyone!! My husband is full into the pendant camp but I'm still considering a ring so that I can see it. I really love the art deco idea, twodoor but that Tiffany one is gorgeous as well. Great example of a ring, Matata! So many possibilities.....so little time!

Pendant all the way. Maybe instead of a halo something like Tiffany Jazz or Swing where there is a little "string" or diamonds dangling underneath or the like.

Halos are just a liiiitle bit "done" for me right now

Beautiful stone!

MMMMM, yummy, that is a beautiful stone you have there Michelle! I was thinking that you recently acquired a new diamond pendant, so maybe a RHR is in order? LOL! It just looks so nice in the pics you posted of it on your hand....maybe a wider plain band (5-6mm) with some beautiful prongs, no other bling since it''s such a gorgeous stone?

I think aquas look their best in a white metal, so no matter what you decide, it''s probably good to go white (platinum, white gold, palladium). I have a gorgeous aquamarine, but it''s in yellow gold, I am so bummed I didn''t do white gold. My other aqua of the same size, but not as good a quality, is in white gold, and that makes the stone look so much more elegant. I''m thinking about switching the better aqua to the white gold setting.

I know what you mean about halos being overdone right now, Rainbowtrout, but I have to say that I just really love a haloed stone.

Twodoor, I totally agree on the white gold or platinum. I''m not really partial to an aqua in YG.

Monnie, I haven''t totally ruled out a RHR, but I am considering another pendant. What do you think of these two styles?

Something like this maybe, but a pear instead of the cushion. I really like the elongated llinear look with the diamonds.
