The bezel setting you posted was the one I would have suggested...
... I didn't contribute to the thread because you were oriented to prongs which I find distracting.
I would also do shiny gold instead of brushed though I love them both.

Are we happy with this one?

I like the compass set prongs with the bezel. I think the prongs "decorate" the diamond, they say, "Look! You won't see another one like me very soon."
