Hi,

Well I posted on Show me the ring, but after doing some looking around here, this forum would seem more appropriate. I posted there because I was thinking inexpensive halo for my garnet, and they seem to be experts on halos over there, but then I scanned here a bit and realized that Ana thought a more open setting would better show off the color change garnet. So, what do you think? I haven''t measured it. It''s 2 carats, I think, and oval in shape.

I can be so traditional, but I also like the scuplted contemporary styles. I am trying to keep the budget for this right hand ring setting on the minimal side. It''s time for a gift from me to me!

Any experience/suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

lawmax

Hi!
Do you want it to be a diamond halo or metal??

I was thinking diamond halo for a very traditional look. Now, I''m wondering if contemporary is the way to go. I''m working on photos, but it''s not going all that well! :)

Here it is inside with regular lighting. I know the photo is crummy. It's my first time trying to take gem photos. It seems to be around 7mm x 7mm.

It''s so hard to get the real color to come through in the photos. It really is a blue-green color with flashes of purple outdoors.
