Icy_jade, that strand is really special! It's just beautiful, I love the color play on the pearls. And your photos are fab!

Thanks Ltype! Strong tropical sun + light box makes for great photos I guess. I use an iPhone 5 for all my pearl photos so no fancy equipment. Do wish I can eliminate the black box reflection (my iPhone case is black) tho. But haven't been willing to spend $20 for a plain white case just for pearl photos.

I agre! I've gotten the best photos taking my lightbox outside on a really sunny day. Really kicks up the colors.

Re: the case, try just cutting a hole in a piece of white paper (or a large index card with the unlined side forward) and centering it over your iPhone lens. That might work. I'm all about the DIY, baby, lol.

Thought about that... but I'm still hopeful of finding a cheap case so I won't DIY until I run out of options.

Thank you LitGeek! That's the thread I meant. I have them both bookmarked and grabbed the wrong URL. I cannot wait to get some pearl drops and this thread will be a wonderful reference when the time is right!
