Meant to post this.
@luckyhonu ‘s 2 carat ACA studs...
They are stunning. Just kept me staring at her ears like some crazy stalker all through lunch.

Thank you! I’ll start a SMTB when it arrives.Wow, @JPie your new ring is fabulous! I am seriously loving it on your hand. It seems it was meant to adorn your finger. Congratulations and come back with pics! More pics!
It doesn’t hurt that PSers are a bunch of enablers!When you wore that ring I had a feeling it would be yours!!! Congratulations on your beauty!!!
Oh, I appreciated them too! Since I was sitting next to you, I didn’t want to keep staring at them through lunch and make you wish you sat elsewhere.Thank you for the kind words! I was happy to know that somebody appreciated the earrings besides hubby
I totally get it. What is tempting me is that incredibly delicate and unique setting and the super white diamonds juxtaposed with the blood red rubies. I love that some of them are cabs, and such tiny delicate cabs at that. And completely authentically vintage. You just don’t find these any more.
This ring has it all--glorious color, unique setting, presence. I love that it has geometry and curves! It's one of the prettiest rings I've ever seen. Congratulations, @JPie!
I ended up returning the ruby ring. A wonderful PSer helped me confirm that it was a Deco-inspired piece vs. actual vintage Deco: http://sophiad.com/product-details.php?cid=4_34&pid=662 . As lovely as the design is, I'm a huge fan of vintage/antique pieces and it made a huge difference to me that this was neither.
66 Mint was very understanding about it and refunded me promptly. Their price was below MSRP and they sold the ring to another buyer.
Wow, what a bummer, I would be heartbroken. But authentic antiques/vintage would be a deal breaker for me too. Do you feel like there was any misrepresentation? On the other hand it’s nice that such well-made rings are still being produced, I suppose.Oh noo, sorry to hear about that! Yeah, I agree with your thinking. Theres something really special about true vintage/antique pieces and finding out that it is not would've changed my entire perception of it as well.
They said they had disclosed the fact that it was vintage-inspired, not actual vintage, during our GTG. I don’t recall that specifically but I do remember that they said they didn’t know how old it was.Wow, what a bummer, I would be heartbroken. There’s always Lang!I am so sorry @JPie . Knowing that it was not vintage would definitely give me pause too. It's great that it went to another buyer because it is a beautiful piece. I am sure you will find more than enough lovelies to tempt you this summer.
