N.B. This image shows just how lovely a green tourmaline can be. A rare example of fine color combined with exceptional crystal. Stones of this quality are difficult to find.
The common run of greens are more yellowish and look ''smoky'' or ''murky'' they lose transparency (crystal) particularly in the light of a light bulb.
It looks as if it may have been cut from a nodule or perhaps it is a chrome tourmaline though it is difficult to tell anything definitive from an image?
