Hi everyone!

Newbie here thinking about buying a diamond, and I was wondering if you could please give your opinion on this purchase. Thanks in advance!

GIA cert
VS1 - E - Ideal Cut - .78 ct - round
Price: $3243
Measurements:
Table 57%
Depth: 61.3%
Crown: 14.5%
Pavilion: 43.5%
Girdle: medium
34.0 Crown Angle
41.0 Pavilion Angle
No Cutlent
Flourescence: Strong Blue
Measurements: 5.95 x 5.92 x 3.64 mm
Polish: Excellent
Finish: Excellent
Clarity Characteristics: Crystal, Pinpoint

Also, I do realize the strong blue flourescence may be an issue with an E grade color, however I was actually looking for a diamond with flourescence as from what I''ve seen the diamonds seem to look shinier to me.

Hi Timothy and welcome!

The diamond has potential certainly, is it with an online vendor or store jeweller? If it is with an online vendor then you could request an Idealscope image which would be very helpful. With the fluorescence, check it isn''t causing the diamond to look cloudy in some lights by asking the vendor or seller to evaluate it, this is rare though. Also you might find a slight discount for SB fluorescence in a colourless diamond - if the cut is good and this diamond looks to be cut well then you will get your sparkle and shine plus an interesting bluish glow if the lighting is right!

Thanks Lorelei!

I am purchasing this diamond from an online vendor so I will see about requesting an idealscope image. I appreciate your input!
