Hi :D

I have been seriously considering purchasing a very warm diamond in the S-Z range. I love K-M and I love S-Z but any others in between work also for me as long as the cut is great. I'm hoping for something above 2 carats. I have read the warmer color diamond threads but I need MORE!! I'm thinking I would love a nice fat pear but I am also picturing an oval with colorless half moons or a cushion with half moons. I would love to see some fancy shapes in warmer colors. Anybody wanna share?

Warm is wonderful (but not this weather we are having).

Here is a picture of my antique "little yellow" for you. It is a "P" color. I love it because in different lightings it be fairly white, warm vanilla or light yellow - lots of options, lots of personality.

It seems it is harder to find S-Z diamonds than those with a bit less color. (I wish there were more S-Z's out there.)

Oh, they are gorgeous with really white sides. That brings the color out even more. Great idea.

Ooooooo. I love that color. That's what makes me want a warmer color. I love the different personalities! I also just happen to love the way the warmers shimmer..That is a beautiful stone. Have you set it? Do you mind me asking the size?

There should be some videos in Good Old Gold's collection. And depending on whether he has the diamond in-house, maybe Wink has some videos at High Performance Diamonds.

Thanks Kiwi. It's a 1.37 ct. It's set in a white gold (to bring out the color) split shank, art deco type setting. I'm looking for a photo of it for you.

Why not call Jon at GOG and see if he can get you an August cushion or old European (whichever is your style) in a low color? The August stones perform like Nothing else. Really. Great upgrade policy, too.

I have a Y-Z radiant cut stone. I love love love it! I truly think that in this range you are going beyond warm and getting beautiful yellows.

Thanks for the specs Sonoma! I'd love to see a picture of your stone set. I looked online at GOG and it seemed that I was getting better prices (low color large-ish ) at Excel Diamonds. This is not my engagement ring I am looking for and have about a 5K budget for the diamond without the setting. Trying to make that stretch! I definately want something big with a great cut. Color is not my first priority at all considering that I love the warm colors.

Gorgeous ring Clgwli! I love the Y-Z range. I haven't had much luck finding that color in my price range in the size I am looking for. I have found a few potential W-X and U-V diamonds. Just requested some photos and an ASET

Clg: That is Specatcular !! Where did you find it? :naughty: :o

Kiki: Do you know what shapes you are leaning toward? Do you prefer small facets or large facets?

Thank you! I got the ring from Diamonds By Lauren. The stone actually wasn't listed on the site, but I contacted David and he found it for me very quickly. I really love it and get tons of compliments on it too

Kiki, have you looked around online and contacted vendors if you don't see what you want in your price? I admit that's what I did with my stone. I told him my color and cut desires as well as clarity and then my very firm budget. He found it for me. When I came here I was leary of just contacting people online like that, but I am so glad I did!

Clgwli I am so glad you posted your diamond! I have been looking at a pale yellow on the DBL website and its great to see a real life shot!

Maisie, if you want more I have tons of pictures

Can I ask which one you are looking at? I really love the pale yellows and softer yellows. They really hit my "sweet spot"

Re: Show me S-Z!! Considering purchasing a VERY warm diamond

I do like that stone a lot! I admit I thought about it myself at one point before I realized I wanted a slightly longer radiant. I have short fingers so the longer stones just looked better on me if that makes sense.

Have you asked for a video of the stone? I'd love to see it if I were you :)

I do have a thread in SMTR area. I couldn't find it by search either, so I had to go scroll through my old posts. Here it is though show-me-the-ring/my-beautiful-new-yellow-diamond-ring-t143514.html

I have added to the under 1 carat thread as well as the real life perspective thread. I can try to find those if you like, but I think some of those are repeats of here.

Two additions to keep an eye out for: though the search function doesn't bring them up for me, Glitterata has a gorgeous S-colored Crafted by Infinity Stone. And isn't Amethyst's AMAZING 5-carat beauty a W-Z or something, enhanced with a golden "cup?"
