Show me some Van Craeynest!

I was there when she picked up this beauty. Very jealous, I was!

I love that setting too, and what a gorgeous sapphire. Any idea on its stats? Was it her own, or did Larry supply it?

Hey Selkie! I don't know exact stats. I would say the sapphire was around 7mm, a round step-cut sourced from the same place as the sapphires for my heart pendant. It was such a bright and delightful pink!

Here's the 1019 with blue sapphire oval

ETA: I wonder why shrinking these pics make them seem out of focus this time...

This was a sample which happened to fit me perfectly. It was VERY hard leaving this behind, especially since the sapphire was so blue!

oops.

Closer. The gallery on this one is just dreamy!

That''s all for colored stones as far as the pierced rings go, but here''s a band that certainly caught my attention. Not sure of the style number, but it has Princess cut sapphires and little chased flowers on a knife-edge band.

I would probably want to lighten the antique finish on this one just a tad. Larry mentioned this was an old sample and that his jewelers are a lot better at making this ring now.

Here you can see the knife edge a little better

This was and odd contemporary piece. I thought it was a brooch or something but...

VCvisit_colors_075c.jpg

...it's actually a ring. It has a cluster of sapphires in the middle and the ring is a little on the large side...

The sapphires are small but very pretty. The cluster is akin to the one in my heart pendant.

oops.

For b5s4: 917 in YG (included 969-15 is on top)

Hopefully this is less blurry!

VCvisit_request_101a.jpg

that is a great pic! I can''t wait to see the 812/912 now. thanks so much.

WOW these are all just so beautiful...the craftsmanship and detail! Sigh...

I think I fixed the blurriness now *crosses fingers*

I was really enchanted with these two!

VCvisit_request_100c.jpg

Now to the 812/912. These are so dainty and the details are just perfect! I had a VERY hard time capturing them with my camera. I took a ton of pics of these trying though!

VCvisit_request_104.jpg

Larry told me I could take photos by the window. I would barely venture near the window at first because it was open and I was deathly afraid I would drop a ring onto the busy street below (hence the dark photo!).

VCvisit_request_104c.jpg

Not a great one, but just the band on Larry''s shirt

VCvisit_request_108.jpg

Getting brave and standing closer to the open window with more light!

VCvisit_request_102.jpg

812/912 sides. Note these two differ slightly in finger size and were made at different times. Since VC's are all hand-detailed and can vary slightly, I would order both the engagement and wedding rings at the same time so they can be made together, and matched well.

Here are some in fluorescent light:

love in bloom,
Thanks so much for taking that many pics of the 812/912. The first two pics in dark lighting scared me because it wasn''t what I remembered at all but the two in light by the open window are exactly what I remember. It''s interesting to see how it looks different in the fluorescent light. Thanks again-you saved me a trip to san francisco!

b5s4, It was my pleasure! I''m sorry the photos didn''t turn out so great - currently itching for a new camerea. I still have more of the 812/912. They''d be my #1 choice for a set. Good luck deciding!

(The fingers in this pic are Larry''s)

These tiny flowers were only about 1.5mm each!

Agree totally! I''ll be back with some more stuff later. Larry showed me tons of stuff, even some of his mom''s jewelry...
